You can froth milk by picking the program for pre-ground coffee (hold aroma/strength button for 3 seconds) but not putting any inside. Then stop the program after the machine is done with the milk.

It froths so good!

That's what the bypass doser is for. Keep your regular beans in the machine and put in pre ground decaf into the bypass doser when needed.

Did you set grinding to the finest level? Did you set the temp to max? (most often 3 levels) Do you use freshly roasted beans (no supermarket beans, bur locally roasted in your town) , no more than 6 weeks old since roasting. I think those are the only three things you can do to try and get a slower extraction from this class of machines....

I had one, returned it after 2 weeks. It has lots of little annoyances. First, removing the drip tray you have to be very careful, if you don't hold it just right, it comes apart as you take it out. The tray is several parts put together and there is not enough common area to hold the top and bottom layers together (hard to explain in text, but no one shows you that in any review). The water container handle is VERY flimsy, no one reports issues with it breaking but it sure feels like it will. The handle flips back and forth and can get stuck in one direction because of the notches they made to remove it. The other issue I had was small vibrations when using the machine, the lid would come open about 1/2 inch and would not stay down. The drip try "sensor" was pretty sensitive, and a fairly minor bump would cause it to be 'not inserted' or cancel the cup. Not a big deal on its own, but this also seemed to reset the waste try full sensor. In my opinion, there is no sensor, they seem to count down cups to estimate if its full, and any remove of the try, resets the counter and you get overflow. You can overcome this by emptying it every use / more often. But even in doing that, I found the machine would prompt me to empty it when it was empty. I could have had a bad unit, They came out to service it found nothing wrong, but there was a water flow issue (error 17) often, did a software update and no improvement. I grew to hate it inside that 2 weeks. Looking to replace it with something else. Was hoping to find deep reviews, but all of them are high level so far.
