Gajar ka halwa is a popular winter special dessert. But it takes a long time to make as you first need to grate the carrots and then cook them in milk for long. But in my instant recipe of gajar ka halwa, there is no need to grate the carrots!
And believe me, the gajar ka halwa will taste exactly like the gajar ka halwa made by a halwai!

Recipes :
Gar ka Halwa
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Serves: 3-4
Ingredients:
1 kg carrots
½ cup milk
½ cup khoya
¼ cup dry fruits
¾ cup - 1 cup sugar (to taste)
3-4 green cardamoms
¼ cup ghee
Method:
Peel and wash the carrots. Cut into slices. Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker. Add the green cardamoms and then the sliced carrots, sauté for 2-3 minutes over high heat till the carrots are fragrant. Add the milk and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
Mash the cooked carrots, add the sugar and cook till the moisture disappears. Add the khoya, dry fruits, mix well and serve.
