THIS "GAKKU" festival took place in September 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is said that the city center was paralyzed on the day of the concert. You have never heard it on the Keyboard because it is higher than the Piano Keyboard. Dimash said it was a complete accident that he hit it. He had aimed for another note and was moving his mic back and forth like before but his voice failed him and so he adjusted to produce a note. The D8 is what he hit when he adjusted. I really do not care how or why, just that he has worked his voice so perfectly that he can hit a D8 is what amazed me.

If we check other versions that Dimash sings of this song (he wrote when he was younger), we can see a melisma or other very beautiful variations in this part of the "whistle". The song is titled Unforgettable Day in English and is about falling in love at first sight. I understand he wrote it when he was quite young and I am guessing he may have been writing about a personal experience. It doesn't normally have a D8 whistle note in it. I think his voice may have cut out immediately before the D8 and he went with it to fix his mistake. It is a beautiful song and a fantastic performance. He also sang this song for Jackie Chan with Terry Lin who is someone he greatly admires and looks up to.

Many people claim that Dimash cannot be from this planet. Maybe this sound is his way to tell us "Dimash phone home"...!!! 🤣👍

If it were me, I’d have torn or shredded vocal cords after such a display!

Most vocal coaches couldn’t find the note on the keys. It was measured as a D8. The song was written by Dimash, I believe when he was 19. There are many versions. Remember that he knows his voice. Knowing it, he normally won’t try the whistle unless he knows he will hit it. But even Dimash was unaware he hit that note! His whistle is used in other songs but none as high is this one.
