Bogie is such a smart & well behaved little grapefruit *cough* I mean bird! 😁That mug is adorable, he is definitely the center of the universe.💕🦜✨ I wish Cheeky knew that many tricks, today she shut down again after I made her fly from armchair to armchair & intercepted with my hand. She doesn't like the idea of me catching her. 😬

@@flocklife Depends on the context. Coming out of the cage, yes. Off of the floor, maybe. Off of my bed/ footboard hell no. Window? Hell no. I have to promise many treats for compliance with stepping up :/

Nice to see a morning routine from a diff bird owner! I am mostly outside the whole day for work so my birds get a little close to 45 min time outside before I head to work. I will see if I can switch things up to make their mornings fun!

That was sweet, I loved the way he opened his wings at the end the same time you put yr arms out, like yr arm was a human wing & he naturally mimiced you in harmony with you. 😎✌🐦

Weighing your bird everyday may be the correct thing to do, however I am simply showing what we actually do every morning. This is what a realistic day looks like for Bogie and I! No BS :)

Lol.. I think if someone is gonna see yr bed maybe it looks better if it's made after u wake up.. my bed I literally just get up & go & don't look back & just let it air all day while I'm out at work til I'm back & it's time to hit the sack.. noone looks at my bed, not even me lol.. ✌

LOL did I hear Dad say he eats like a chook??? (The man's whose face was reflected in the alluminium feeding bowl whilst holding the camera? haha!) It seems the food you have prepared is a winner by the looks Bogie gobbles up the goodies by big beak fulls. I have to say Mum, you're a marvel training that bird so well. If you can do this with your future children you will need to be awarded the congress medal of honor and achievement.

I need to set more boundaries with Cheeky because she's aggressive and entitled as hell. I tried watching TV while she was in the cage and she just starts screaming as loud as she can. She has tons of toys to play with, but she doesn't care. I try to be consistently inconsistent but since Cheeky will just scream until fed breakfast, my family insists I deal with her. So then it gets reinforced. 🤦‍♀️Either by moving her to her other cage & giving her food or attention or all of the above. I've bought Stop Screaming by Birdtricks, I should probably rewatch it. I just suck at taking ABC notes. I'm glad I'm not the only one who ends up weighing their bird weekly vs daily too lol.

Definitely rewatch that. I bet it will help a lot. And perhaps give her breakfast first thing in the morning to try to beat her to the fit? I do that with Bogie because I found that he was more aggressive without breakfast in the morning and I like to avoid the biting and screaming at all costs.

It's funny, I don't have a pet bird, instead however I did start feeding wild birds over the winter & now with early spring and it's been still quite cold and dry so I've kept it up. I make a kind of all rounder chow for them so I get birds of all sizes and descriptions flying to greet at me and tweeting at me now, with crows literally sitting on top of my roof cawing at me waiting for their breakfast strictly at 10am on the dot now.. 😄👌..

I have a galah too! Her name is sugar she’s actually a boy but I’m used to calling her she She knows how to exit her cage she just learnt it now if anyone else changes her food she can fly and stuff before she gets back in She loves men one time she flew on my arm and she danced with me while she was on my arm it was so cute! And she rarely says words she mostly says words when she’s alone and only alone she is well behaved when men are around she goes “huh!” When she says huh you know there’s a man around she loves men if I show her galah videos on my device she will mostly look at the men if there’s any and say huh! And she dose a little exited dance it’s so cute she also loves when I give her bread she is just a very cute bird and also she’s a re-home!

Oh boy they have such a big personality for such a little bird. They are great!! I have been watching a lot of Harry Potter so Ron comes to mind but I would need to see him/her! Send a pic to us on IG once you get him snd I feel like i would have a better idea

Any suggestions for happy shower time without fighting with my galah ? I tried treats and baby talk Sometimes it’s easy sometimes it not an option he wouldn’t shower 🚿

Yes! I'll make a video about it in the upcoming weeks. Best to stop doing anything right now until you know how to slowly introduce him without scaring him more! No bathing is better for him than forcing him to bath and stressing him out. Hope this helps and stay tuned
