Thank you Berry But we struggled to walk up as we could not find the yellow tunnel. After walking up and standing in the queue for 40 minutes we were told to pay 350 L each! That was 27th June 2023! Inflation?😮

where is the best angle to take a picture of the Galata tower from the ground?

There are some nice areas! One would be from Eminonu ferry port (there are 2 spots: one just next to the Ottoman ships selling balik ekmek and the other is just where the buses are in that same area, head to the water side and that’s another angle and nobody is there), if you have good zoom, photos turn out nicely! Another but cliché is just one narrow street where all the cafes are and is facing directly towards the tower, but get ready, because that street is always always full of people taking photos to the point that one cannot even walk but if you go very early in the morning (7 am) you might skip all the people 😂
