I was surprised the OnePlus Nord 3 is better priced at India. Here in the Philippines Samsung A54 is much cheaper maybe because OnePlus does not have store outlets.

IP 58 is more resistant to water than IP67. The first number is dust resistance and the second is water resistance.

@@blueisthecolor3463it is still overpriced. You can get the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (a processor much better than Samsung's last year flagship S22 series) on brand new phones launched this year for it's price. It is simply no competition.

Not really, phones like iqoo neon7 pro nd Neo7 has slightly better stablization nd optimization than OnePlus (in terms of performance), I used both of their mid nd high range phnes👍🏼

Depending on country, servicing can be very different. Here in the UK they cost roughly the same, but if Samsung breaks there are lots of official services where they can fix it same day or even while you wait - or they even come to you with a van and fix it at your place. OnePlus is absolutely different, only official service is somewhere in the EU (Poland I think) and you have to post your phone and wait about 6 weeks to get it back fixed. That's a big dfference. I hope you'll make a video later this year comparing the just announced Samsung A55 vs the OnePlus Nord 4 that is expected around June-July.

Its like little partial towards oneplus. I have used both phones samsung feels good on regular usage except for hard-core games if gaming is not very important just go for samsung. You won't regret. And battery life here is way better than she mentioned.

Nord 3 is currently selling for ₹19,999 (around 240 US dollars) here in India (brand new phone). This is huge price drop, within 1 year of launch.

Looks quite biased as wherever it was samsung ahead for example os updates, you gave same points to both. And you also didn't mention ui, customizations etc where samsung is definitely ahead. Nord 3 is definitely better but A54 isn't as far behind as it appears in this video

Tbh I think Samsung a34 and a54 don't justify their prices in any means (except software I guess 🙄). My sister owns the a34 and I opt it over a54 becus it has more value for the price. But still both of them are not comparable to their competitors. Samsung why are you doing this 😒

@@johnmoirangcha I agree too. Last good a series phone samsung launched is a52s 5G. I used it for a year before giving it to my youngerbrother. it was a quite reliable phone. It had a lot of of stuff which competition didn't offer at that price ex- NFC. But now A series phones don't look overpriced by atleast 8-10k rs. May be it will be good to buy them in offers, but not without offers

Lol yeah it felt hilariously biased. I do infact think nord is a slightly better phone especially given the fact that A54 costs more, although you could get it for around 25k in the Middle East, in which case this would be a better option

Nice vid but I think it's a little biased towards Nord 3. The A54 should get 1 point for UI (much better than OxygenOS) & updates. Also 1 point for photos (although Nord 3 is better than I expected). Overall I would rate them as equal : flagship killer fluidity / fast charging / sharper screen / bezels -> Nord 3. Camera / waterproof / UI / battery / color accuracy -> A54. (I chose Nord 3 btw)

ip 58 have a higher water resistence then ip 57.....water resistence is given by the last number ip x8....dust is given by the first number ip5x

Nord 3 is more expensive now, OnePlus's official Nepal distributors are wilding with their conversion rates. I wish them the best of luck if they think they have the same brand value as Samsung for setting up 2X price of that of Indian rates while other brands go as low as 1.8X. No wonder the brand is falling off in Nepal

One thing that should be mentioned is refresh rate, if I'm not mistaken Nord 3 still doesn't support 120 Hz or even 90 Hz in many essential apps, in contrast to A54. Supposedly this will be fixed in near or far future updates, but is it worth the risk ?

Great review as always. I am tempted to go for Samsung as they are providing excellent offerings with their A series phones but the charging speeds on these phones are a huge deal breaker for me. I am so used to 30mins charging on my 4 years old Realme X2 Pro and it would not feel an upgrade to me to wait for over an hour everytime I want to charge my phone. It is so weird to see Samsung charging technology still stuck at 25W. All its competitors provide higher charging capabilities especially in this price range.

The Exynos isn't a good processor. The blunders Samsung did with heat management and throttling which also trickled down to the Tensor chip they used to make for Google as well shows they still need to learn a thing or two before they can continue to make processors.

Knox benefits are more than the cost of phone. People who trade ceypto or deal in sensitive data via phone know this. Hardware level knox encryption is any day worth more than the phone itself 🙃

IP58 description is wrong. The IP rating system works like this: "IP[DUST][WATER]" That means the Oneplus is MORE resistant to water than the Samsung, but worse at dust.

I feel like I want to stick with OnePlus purely because of the earphone socket. If Samsung hadn't gone the pointless overpriced wireless route I'd have probably gone with them by now.

unless you're 1 of those guys spending $300 on a pair of headphones then try some cheap bluetooth headphones and see if it changes your mind. I was always using $5 wired and for the last few years switched to $30 bluetooth. I don't notice a difference in sound quality but the quality of life improvement of no more untying knots or random situations where it gets caught on something and gets unplugged means I refuse to return to wired although my phone still has a jack

Using the Nord 3 for two weeks now. Battery life keeps getting better, around 50 percent left at the end of a day and SOT is around 3 over hrs. Main cam is very good.

3 wrong information: 1. One plus nord 3 has just amoled not s.amoled 2. One plus nord 3 has just IP54 not IP58 3. Price Samsung A54 Nrs 56999 for 128 gb storage 59999 for 256 gb storage whereas Nord 3 is Nrs 69999 for 8gb-128gb and 75999 for 16gb- 256gb
