@@GizmoSlip you dropped the XR on the aluminum frame on every drop that it survived. The s10 was dropped on the back glass in the first drop. I have no doubt that the XR IS more durable. But it's not really a fair comparison. Just sayin...

@@Kitulous it's very uneven ground. You can see when dropped on the screen it's not a normal type of crack, it looks like it been penetrated by a bunch of rocks. I would do it on a sidewalk type surface for the best results

If you're talking about anxiety, let me assure you that your S10's glass will crack on the first time you drop it, like it happened to me 2 weeks ago. I still shed a tear from time to time. :))

After another drop i went to YT instantly and search "s10 drop test". Now I am scared every time my phone drops. I use s10 without any case. Luckily nothing serious has happened for about 1.5 year. Got some marks on AL and scratches on the back.

ice cream yeah but not if your trying to properly test the strength of flat glass cause with the pebble you can drop it like a foot and it has a possibility of it cracking

They trash anyway I have one it fell not even 1 foot and hit my bed frame and shattered and it was in a case I hate my s10

My s10 broke its screen, put phone on my. Lap, forgot bout it, quick stand up phone when straight to the floor concrete. And cracks like hell.

It won't. I was talking on my s10+ I was getting something out my trunk and it slipped and hit a tin pop can and cracked in the top left corner within 2 days it spread across the screen

Glass is glass and glass breaks. But the curved glass makes it less durable

I drop mine from 3 feet and the screen was pretty much done

Obviously not from high or on a bad surface, my friend's cracked 3 days after he got his when it was released and it was unusable

I wish these were built like an S7. My S7 had a Otterbox Defender on it and I was able to kill multiple bugs with it, throw it at my cat if it got on the kitchen table and drop it from anywhere and have it get crushed under weight. I was also in the Marine Corps so the risk of abuse was always there and the phone with that case was rugged worked fine and never broke once. I don't even know why I still had insurance on it. I understand thats not what the use of the phone is for but what I'm saying is it could take that real world abuse and was still in once piece. But now with this S10 as a loyal Samsung fan/customer ever since my first phone (Samsung SCH a630 and my favorite the Samsung Alias original) I just dont know. Still refuse to ever get an Apple. I was born in 1989 so I've had a few Samsungs.
