Long long time android user. This drives me nuts when you switch to a new phone and every notification is the same. They really changed it up this year. I usually don't have a problem finding these things. Very helpful thank you!

This is what makes me so mad. WHY?!?! Why make this so difficult? This should be a easy to find, easy to use feature.

OMG this was a lifesaver. I've had Samsung Galaxy phones for years and just got my S24 and it's been driving me CRAZY that I couldn't figure out why I wasn't able to change the notification sounds in each app like I've been able to on every previous phone. I was even looking at my S23 next to my S24 trying to figure out why my S24 was different. I was searching Google Community and Reddit and couldn't find the answer anywhere.... everything just kept pointing to Settings> Apps> pick the app> choose the notification sound and I'm screaming to myself "BUT IT WONT LET ME!". Until I found your video. Of course Samsung added a new setting that they didn't tell anyone about 😡. A million thanks to you!!! 👏

Thank you!!! Some apps had the app sound option without having to check that box in Advanced Settings but I was going crazy trying to figure out how to set it for a number of other apps. This was so helpful!

Man, thank you very much Jeff, I received my S24 Ultra yesterday and was getting mad about this problem, I spent 2 hours this morning with the Samsumg Customer Service and finally they told me: We are sorry, the S24 Ultra hasn't the option to set different sound for apps. Thank you again.

So is there not a way to have individual vibration patterns per app? I had that for some apps before and it was nice because I could tell if a notification might be important or not before I even pulled it of my pocket.

Kudos to you Jeff! Just switched from Pixel 6 256 GB to S24 Ultra 512GB mainly because of storage shortage. I surely will miss the pure Android experience with Pixel where this setting and other stuff is straightforward on the menu.. Oh well..

I currently have an S22 Ultra and the vibration is so low and so weak that I can't feel or hear it when I have my phone in the pouch on my belt.

Thank you so much for sharing this info! I have been so irritated that all my notifications had the same sound. Samsung should update Smart Switch to transfer over all the notification and ringtone sounds with the data file during the transfer when setting up a new phone; it really shouldn't be that hard. They truly tried hard to bury this customization option.
