Hi, and thank you. To make a long story short we are currently not offering glass only repair on the S6 as it tends to take longer than most customers care to wait. There are a few things that I might do differently next time, though. For one it would probably be best to remove the display from the frame and use a LOCA mold holder to prevent any glue from getting inside of the capacitive buttons. This one went well but once in a while you don't get so lucky and the glue can seep into areas where you don't want it. If I do another I'll definitely make an updated video. Also, I should have been more careful with the wire as it did get under the digitizer up at the top right-hand corner causing a minor blemish. Not really noticeable but since it's my phone I will always know that it's there. Starting off with a playing card and then switching to the wire after you get started is safer.

In the process of doing an S6 right now actually. Also, to stop the loca getting into the buttons, have you tried either of the following: Strip of tape between the lcd and button, then when you lay the glass, push down on the bottom first to create a seal on the tape. Or another I've seen, which I haven't done yet, is I've seen someone put a thin line of loca along the bottom and cure it first to create a barrier. Have you used any moulds for the s6 yet?

Thanks for the info. I'm always looking for new methods to improve the process. Ultimately I found that- at least for me- removing all components from the device and curing the LOCA on both sides for extended times- like 24 hours was the most consistent method for making sure that nothing got inside. For the menu and home buttons it seemed sufficient to spot cure a line along the lower end but not everyone uses the same method. With the S4 I did use a strip of adhesive alone the top end that seemed to help protect the mic and proximity sensor. Currently we are doing complete display replacement and selling the working AMOLEDs to a recycling company. Not the most cost effective but all things considered it works best for customers since we have few employees who can do glass only consistently. I haven't tried a mold for the S6 but when we were working with the S5 they all seemed to be off a bit. Very frustrating.

Been having the exact same problem with the S5 moulds too. Only off by a fraction on the sides! Bought a mould for the S6, but I prefer this method you use, at least you can line it up exact with the speaker/button. Keep up the good work. Very good video 🖒

+Vitor Roman While I believe that may be possible the risk would be very high. The adhesive is very strong on this model which would make cracking the AMOLED very easy to do and also if you attach the new glass with LOCA theres a good chance that it will leak into the phone and cause more problems.

Not at all. I have added a tempered glass on top of it for protection and it works like new. Now for anyone who thinks about doing this without using LOCA, that is a different story. Glitching, freezing, not responding, dust under the glass, are all probable issues.

+dannyny Not using this method. The curved glass prevents the wire from being an option and is much more difficult to remove without damage. It looks like the probable solution will be a cold treatment that I am still researching. If/when I do I will definitely make a video. If you search for G26 freezer glass removal I know that there are some videos here that briefly show the technique.

The most complete set that I've come across to date is the Scanditech Phone Repair Set kzfaq.info?o=U&video_id=iVY7kL8v3s0 BTW no one has a truly 100% complete set that I am aware of mostly due to specialized screws being added with each new iPhone form factor.
