Easily fix the Black Screen issue on the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus where the Display wont turn on and remains black. The only indication from the phone is the notification LED and sound from the device such as messages and calls but no display. Here is the best way to fix the Black Screen of death on these devices.

What about this when i getta call calle id shows but screen goes black i have to press the power button to turn screen on this happened after the sftware update s9+

I had to charge it then I could turn it on. I don't know what happened. I was taking pictures then it went black then it didn't respond at all. So I charged it for a sec and it came back fine. Idk wtf

Hello. Blessings. My phone has same issue you are talking about, but nothing haven't been solve. I did volume down n power and it do like turn off, but it will turn on right away. So I don't know what other thing I can do. My screen is totally black n I can receive message, rings, n everything, but can't see.

Mine just did the back screen,, it was making no noise and no lights at all. it sounded like it was ringing if you called it but i did nothing. i did as you said and now its working again!!!!! Thanks

Can anyone help me my phone is not turning on whatever i do i took my phone 2 days back into the pool and there was no issue till 2 days now its not working dont take your s9 into the pool wont do anything at the point but after weeks it will destory your phone

The problem im having is my screen turns black and everything wrks normal i can hear sounds from the phone, when i touch the phone then the screen comes back but only ti go black shortly after, i have tried this but its only temporary. I usually have to restart phone like twice a day

Hey. If you go to always on display in your settings and go to display mode and click always show, that should solve it

Power save mode did this to yours? I actually did and a half hour later the screen didn't come on. But I noticed if I plug in my charger, the screen went green and then I unlocked it

I had a similar problem., and also my sd card wasn't detected so I took sim tray out cleaned my sd card and sim card, and suddenly my issue of "dark screen of death" was fixed not sure how it's related but it worked for me. Lmk if it works for you.

My sd card isn't detected as well, I took it out and put it in again but I still have the same problem. The sd card still undetected

@@Alosli no I did not, just took it out and placed in again. and it started working. but next day my sd card was not been dected and had the same problem again. eventually i got rid of sd card and my phonme is working fine now.

I've tried multiple times, the phone still just shows a blank screen with a notification light and sometimes vibrations, nothing will work. I was just watching KZfaq on my phone, the screen all of the sudden got much brighter and blurry, and then it just happened. I haven't done anything major to my phone, and it was charged and I've charged it more, laptop isn't helping, nothing whatsoever shows up. I don't have an SD card, either.

The problem cant be worse if the screen is blank, it cant get any worse as the only thing that works in these cases is the notification lights. Unless you have a totally different issue and confusing it with this one.

Boi rooting voids your warranty You should looked at the risks that come with rooting a Samsung phone

black screen frozen! Repair: Installation of an older rom: R16NW.G960FXXU1ARC5. For me, it works without a black screen with the supersu root. Two days of sitting, and only this solution worked for me :)

ISource do you have a rooted galaxy s9? step by step, maybe not, but you will find tutorials on how to install roms for galaxy s9. For me in newer roms than the one I wrote, after rooting I was getting a black screen. Only after rooting! The problem disappeared after installing the old rom odinem.How to do it you will find on YT.problem blackscreen is a soft problem not hard.U u me every time on a clean sofcie (only rooted supersu) immediately appeared blacscreen.Now, after downgrade, from the tenth everything ok .
