I inadvertently let my Galaxy tablet battery get to zero a couple of times, and now the battery discharges very quickly. I’m glad to find out that replacements are available, and not terribly difficult. Thanks for sharing, and for letting her help you (actually, you’re right - your daughter did most of the mental heavy lifting, and you did the manual labor 😁) She reminds me of my niece. Blessings

Excellent work! I'm gonna replace battery in wife's tablet. I also found that cleaning usb port with electrical contact cleaner (just two quick sprays with port facing down/wear eye protection) can improve charging performance.

Just like to say thank you for the simple and complete tutorial. My daughter and I use dthis to change the battery in our Tab A. Instructions were simple (good for me) and your daughters help was much like mine. Thanks again.

I know my tablet is too old like 8 years old 😂 but I just changed the same old Samsung Tab A battery today following your useful tips.plus keeping sustainability in mind. Thank you Father daughter duo for such useful tips. The old battery is not going to the trash it will be recycled.

I didn’t realise the batteries could be removed, thats cool! My Galaxy Tab A P550 was the longest lasting device i ever owned: Even after the screen stopped responding to touches, the digital stylus worked perfectly. Since i only used it for art (i had a separate phone/pc for gaming) my tablet could have lasted forever. The battery became a problem when the tab started to restart (it got very hot), and it would get stuck in a restart loop. I chucked it before i had the idea to try replacing the battery, like in this vid.

Bought a new battery months ago and held off changing it as my current battery still recharges (somewhat) but definitely time to go through the process tomorrow. Been delaying in case I wreck my tablet... Wish me luck!

Thanks for the video. Keep feeding her. I had mine swapping out processors in HP servers for a training video to show that if she can do it at age 8, well you guys should have no issues. If you do, you probably need to work on your skill level. :) Loved the video.

Looks like your old battery came out a little easier than mine. I was afraid I was going to snap my tablet in half trying to fight that thin line of double sided tape holding the battery in place.

SergeTheBlerge you can get it from Ebay or Amazon but search the brand name and it’s full name for example mine is SM-T350 which is Samsung Tab 350 but you have to check on the back where the little writing is then you will look and then it will say something like SM-T but I do not know which number so you search that up on google,Ebay,and Amazon but google will bring you to Ebay or Amazon so it is the same but search that up then you will see the things you want for example,SM-T350 battery,or SM-T350 screen. So that is how you do it man if have any more questions just reply to this Comment and I’ll be happy to respond and help you ok have a good day man

I have the Samsung tab A 10.1" tablet. I've had it just a couple months. it's been telling me I will need a new battery in 2 days and some odd hours. This freaked me out. I've now got it so it wont drain so much, removed most apps. So where do I buy one when the original battery dies? I love this tablet so much. amazon? wheres cheapest? is the original a baddie? and this is why I stay clear of apple tablets! I watched someone do the same thing to an I pad, they had so many ribbon cables to remove and had to melt the glue holding It all together, nightmare!

Hello, what was the reason for the new battery? My tablet has been power cycling and I just ordered a new battery, hoping this will fix my problem 🙃

The reason why we changed the battery was because the battery was discharging super fast and was not lasting the day. I'm not sure if you change the battery it will fix your cycling problem. But I hope it works.

Is that battery built in because I have the large version of that tablet and it's battery is like completely running out so obviously it needs to be replaced but my grandad says it's built in xd

Try and do a quick Google search on the model of your tablet to see if a battery is available.

Yes most phones and tablets have "built in" batteries now. Back in the day, you would just pop the door off and change it... But now most things need to be taken apart like this. Do yourself a favor and buy an screwdriver kit for electronics (about 10 bucks), and it usually comes with the green wedge tool here and other tools (guitar pic thing, suction cup) to take apart "sealed" cases. Sometimes they are glued and you need heat too.... But since I've bought my kit I've take apart and fixed keyboards, phones, tablets, ipods, game controllers, cameras etc and I have no formal training. Just KZfaq videos. Most components and batteries are available online, and are way cheaper than replacing the entire unit.
