In this video we explore some of my top features, alongside some of my least favorite features on the all new Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 PLUS. One might expect for my favorite features on this tablet to be the same as those of the Galaxy tab s7 plus, but the reality is that while samsung has barely made any design change on this samsung tablet, there are some significant differences to be highlighted not only on the galaxy tab s8 plus, but also the other galaxy tablets, including the tab s8 and the tab s8 ultra.

As much as I love my tab s6 lite, it just doesn't handle heavy games fluidly due to the chipset but handles everything else less demanding much better. Getting tab s8 plus for long-term and as I am not interested in a laptop and it will be ideal for my heavy usage of games and better for multi tasking. Gonna get it next march so hopefully will be a little cheaper by then and will be a nice gift to myself

Bit the bullet and ordered the S8 ultra 12/256. I REALLY wanted the 16/512 but in reality I have 256 on my S7+ and the storage is nowhere near full. Even if it was, you can add storage. Also all I plan on doing is drawing and some light games. So 12g of ram should be plenty. Managed to trade in my S7+ for $600 and got an additional $150 off and got $200 in accessories. So I ended up paying about $450 to upgrade. Just hope they don't mind a mostly dead USB port. Their trade in only mentions it has to charge and did not address USB functionality.

Had to send my second tab s6 lite in due to it getting white sploges and hot under the screen closest to the charge port. I'm going to try to get a free tab s7 or tab s8 because a second time is crazy

I bought the Tab S8 and I live in Brazil, the only thing that worries me is the S-pen nib that I could't find a good replacement... For your experience, how long it lasts for an average use (2 hours a day)?

I am using Tab S7+. Been using it for 1 year and is real good. Had to change default tip as the other one suits me more

My tab s6 lite come with a defective nib out of the box, i went to the service centre and they gave me 2 nibs. You might have to pay for it, but i think you might get a new nib at authorised service centre.

Depends on how much pressure you use. If you use light pressure it should last a few years. On the positive side it uses Wacom's EMR tech, so a lot of Wacom pens work with it. You will not get the gestures, but I consider those mostly useless. If you do need to replace it and can't get replacement nibs look for a wacom one compatible pen (not the one by wacom, those I think are incompatible) .

I bought the S8+ tab and I want to know the difference when the s pen is charged and when it is not, cause I don't see the difference

I got the s8(the smallest one) but I'm still under the 1 month period, Can you tell me how does it compare against other products with different chipsets on video rendering? I've seen lots of reviews about the 8 gen 1 throttling badly and my only other device to compare is my note 10+ which slower but as it's way older so it's not really representative, I'm not disappointed but kind of unimpressed, I use it for instagram reels, short videos etc, mostly from an 7r 3 and a gh5

Yea that throttling situation was crazy. I believe Samsung fixed it. So far it’s pretty good

@@IvanKam11 mine works fine, it doesn't get hot nor even warm and doesn't drop frames as far as I can notice, but is the exporting time... idk, it's a bit snappier than the phone but was hoping it were faster, it's an old note 10 with a samsung chipset, for the difference on the benchmark apps you would expect more difference

bro, i was in the same situation, i just couldnt find video editing and export comparison. which is sad, especially since most of these channels have most of the tablets. so although i use an android phone i went with the base ipad pro m1 since i found it for a sweet deal. generally i do long form videos 4k 1hour+ videos with sony zv1. and it usually takes half the time of the video to export, so 2hour 4k video takes about 1 hour to export. the tablet does heat up tho. im giving close estimates as i havent really timed it carefully. if you want we can both run a test with the same video, import and export and see the export time. unrelated note, lumafusion is overrated. i bought it and theres really no major benefit between it and the other free video editors. im so annoyed why youtubers overhyped it and make it seem like theres no other video editor and people are missing out. dont fall for that hype. any video editor you use is fine.

@@truthseeker6804 nah I know the apple with the m1 should be way faster, there are comparisons all over about it, even the a15 is faster, but I really use it only for when I'm on the go, if you had something android maybe? your idea is great only thing is I made my mind already, and will keep it, it doesn't worth having to set up another device again etc. I'm lazy on that, my guess is anything with the sd 870 will fare a bit better on long exporting times, but I don't think will be that much better at least for my workload max 2 to 5 min long final videos

Hey Ivan any qualitative difference from the 7+. I want to get one. I don't think I need the s8+ given I've been using the 2019 tab. 10.A for the past 3yrs for research, stock trading & the usual streaming KZfaq, netflix, prime, hulu & it's been quite adequate. I DON’T PLAY ANY GAMES AT ALL. Not a content creator. Will skype or Zoom every now & then. Do i really need an s8+ or a 7+ will do? The only reason I ask is that I read S7+ only has one big update to go vs s8+ with 4. Just asking for an honest opinion.

you said yourself you use a device for 3+ years. is saving a few hundred bucks worth it? no. go for the current best.

Don't know if I got a bad screen or what but I recently purchased the S8+ and did not like the display, screen seemed way too green and the HDR playback looked very weak, with lots of display color shifts as I entered into and out of say KZfaq back to the Galaxy home screen, you could literally see the color shifting against the background as I exited an app. I returned it today and they are sending back my Tab S7+ that I traded in that looked a whole lot better display quality wise. In this case it goes to show that newer is not always better or maybe I just got one with a display issue.

I love the screen on the s8 and the ultra too, haven't seen the + in person but on the store the ultra looked astonishing, if it wasn't so expensive and so big I would have gone with it, it would be great a smaller size too, like a 9 inch or something

How did you get your trade in back? I had the same green screen issue and I said I wanted my tab s7fe back so I could return mine and they said its impossible to get my trade in back(even though fedex didn't even receive it from FedEx though) and that I forfeit my trade in.

@@lenacheney - I called Samsung customer service and explained the issue to them and they opened a ticket to have it returned by Fedex because the trade in device (my Tab S7+) wasn't delivered as yet. It appears that Samsung customer support contacted Fedex and had them stop any delivery and send the shipped device back to the original shipper, which was me. If you trade in device has not arrived as yet you can also call the Fedex customer service number and request that they ship the item back to the shipper, which is you. As long as it hasn't been delivered, that's the key. Samsung I believe operates with a 3rd party buyer of the trade in devices, so once the 3rd party company has the trade in Samsung can't get it back to you. So if it has not been delivered yet make sure to call Fedex customer service right away and request your shipped package be sent back to you. They'll cancel delivery and reroute the package back to you, as long as its not been already delivered.

Snapdragon 8 gen 1 on tablet s8 is barely any better than 865+ on s7. S8 uses an undervolted chip and 865+ is overclocked..... Idk what performance upgrade you are talking about

@@IskanderVFX I don't think most reviewers would do it this early. Went to store compared my s7plus to s8 ( for 30 mins straight) . Emulation and gaming had difference of around 3 fps so like 5 to 8 percent.

@@lightnheal836 you see, that's useful, it frustrates me most reviewers have both devices right there and on a 10 minutes video go spend 7 talking how both screens are the same size and how built quality is the same and whatnot 🤦 here on Spain I haven't found a store that has both models to compare, the one with most models that's close to me didn't even had the s plus on exhibition, only the s8 and the ultra, they removed all the s7 models less one that's clearly lower quality
