In this video we take a look at what it is like to choose between that Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 plus Galaxy S22 Ultra vs Z Fold 4. Either one of these packages (Galaxy tab s8 + S22Ultra or Galaxy Z Fold4) don't come cheap, and would normally not interest the typical buyer, but this is just to illustrate the point that if one has to choose between buying a samsung tablet along with a phone, or a phone that cost as much as a combo of a tablet and a phone (galaxy tab s8 s22 ultra vs z fold 4), it might just be better to go for the former, because that is the only combo between the 2 that makes sense to most people.

I pre-order the tablet and the 22 ultra and I saved about $1100 and I still love them.

For photo editing, having everything on the same device (camera + big screen) is genius. No need to sync. However, the S22 ultra has the 10X zoom, and the 108 mp mode can give great results. So... Difficult to decide!

For me and my needs Tab S8+ 12.4 is the perfect size for productivity device. The Z Fold 4 is small for me even is it fold, but really is a cutting edge device.

Great video! This is the only video i found that tackled this. I’ve been thinking about getting the z flip 4 because i already have the ipad pro. I’m so attracted to the fold 4 tho. I like the portability and “on the go” feature of it.

I like both setups. I have the s8 ultra and was going to keep the 22 ultra by trading in my fold 3. But, I just couldn’t keep the s22u, because I enjoy the screen real estate of the fold3 now fold 4. I love the compactness of the fold 4. I’m a truck driver and just enjoy going to the restroom and looking at content on the toilet.

Agree with all of this. The fold can do everything the combo of the Ultra and tab and it takes just as good photos as the Ultra but it's just more convenient. Heck, the fold is more powerful than the tab when unfolded and can multitask just as good. I would say the fold 4 is more convenient AND as productive and capable as the S8 and S22 Ultra while being more pocketable.

Yo tuve el fold4 y cambie al s23 ultra por la camara y el tamaño de pantalla, y aunque los primeros dias agradeci tener una pantalla mas ancha (la principal), extraño poder abrir mi celular y tener mi tablet, sobre todo porque hacia apuntes y escribia demasiado, ojala samsung sacara una tableta de ese tamaño como el ipad mini, para mi es super funcional porque puedes hacer varias pantallas divididas y ser mas productivo, y tienes mucha razon en lo que dices, tienes internet cuando lo necesitas. Cambiare al fold nuevamente cuando lo hagan con pantalla mas ancha y pueda escribir con el spen en la principal, algo como el plegable de honor Samnung lee mi comentario o cambiare a Apple 😢

The Z fold 4 is extremely cool! But I prefer my current set up with the tab s6 lite for media consumption and my s22 ultra for everything else.

I also have the tab s6 lite (is yours the 2022 version too?) and S22 Ultra but i mainly use the s6 lite for reading and note taking or anything I don't need my laptop for. I had some doubts about having a flagship phone and midrange tablet but its actually quite a good setup.

I have tab s8 plus that I use for taking notes in class. I want to switch to the fold but I don't know how it will hold up with the constant writing. Any idea?

Definitely going with the Fold 4. I got the tablet and phone in one. Plus the Galaxy watch 5 and Galaxy Buds 2 pro with trade in all for $800. The trade in deals make it better than the phone tablet combo.

@@IvanKam11 I would like to have both s22 ultra and tab S8 (+ or ultra). I like the fact that my phone will have a pen to write when I am on the go. But is this combination worth the money or should I go for just fold 4? Is the inside screen of fold 4 so fragile?

thanks for the video. I got the z fold 4 and I'm loving it. I have the Ultra and it's great for movies and so on. was going to sell it but I realized my son and I use it a lot for music sheets. it's the perfect size.

I have the tab S7 + and now with the tab S22 ultra I'm really enjoying that combo I don't think I would go the fold direction one because of the durability factor . Also sometimes I could be possibly doing something on my phone in my hand while watching KZfaq videos on my tablet.

For now, I prefer the S8+ Tab and S22U setup considering the cost and more screen real estate combined. But I also have the Tab A7 and was just thinking it would be great if Samsung came out with a 10.5 tablet w/LTE that folds. Man, the portability and larger screen compared to the fold 4 would be great!

I got the fold 4 but you didn’t mentioned u not only have to be on Wfi with the tablet but also can’t make phone calls also Samsung and T-Mobile got great deals on the fold 4 you can get 1000 off trade in or 500 off add a line so if u do that it’s not expensive as you think

I debating this as well now with the s9 and new fold. Upgrading my note 20 ultra Also one more advantage if you want to upgrade after 1-3 years. U can only upgrade one of them. And save some money

I don’t think the z fold 4 solves any problems. It’s just a cool fun device to have. And it’s priced more than two separate devices. So it’s always a bad purchase if you look at it logically but it’s just fun and interesting so that has value too. But there’s no situation I can think of that would require you to ‘need’ a tablet that you couldn’t plan for before hand and just bring your actual full size tablet. Potentially maybe people that are into designing homes maybe things like that but then again I’m sure they just bring their tablet to work instead of opens and closing a phone all day It just doesn’t really fill any gaps right now. There’s no gap for the z fold 4

Ok, the zFold doesn’t have a uSD slot, but does its USB-C port support display out for DeX? It’s already a pretty easy choice, but without that…😳

Where I live, if I were to buy a galaxy s22 and a tab s7 for example then that totals to 2000$. But I can get a z fold 4 for 1800$.

i thought i could do with a fold instead of having a tablet, butttttt when watching a football match and getting messages and phone calls. Cant watch the match no more... Something so minor killed the experience.

Tab s8 5g can be used as a giant smartphone with Bluetooth Handsfree. Far better that the fold to work with dex mode. Better screen and far more durable combined with a spigen rugged armour pro case. The Cost is 2 to 3 times cheaper depending on the dealer. If you combine it also with a galaxy smartwatch to see who is calling without needing to get is out of the bag is a far better solution.

I went with the Iphone 13 pro, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and A Windows PC... Gives me a little bit of everything. Have access to Apple IOS, Samsung's Android and Microsoft Windows... Best of ALL worlds IMO lol
