So glad to see you included her nose while dermaplaning. When I had it done my nose was not was left out. There are other videos on here that are the same. It's like the emphasis is on hair removal rather than exfoliation too.

Yes the nose is awesome to dermaplane, smooths off the bumpy oil that sits in the pores and the nostrils always have old dry skin. Love it 😁

Very satisfying to watch but sounds super drying and irritating for the epidermis. Why do they not use some kind of oil or gel to go easier on the skin?

It’s not irritating, there is some sensitivity to the product going on the same day other than that there is no down time. The skin has to be dry in order to scrape off the dead top layer of skin, it’s exfoliating and as long as the blade is held as the right angle it doesn’t leave any dry patches

I just got certified by DermaplanePro & they taught us to use oil. Their whole technique is different then what is shown here

I gotta ask. What’s the difference between vellus hairs from normal facial hair and how is it different? Why doesn’t it grow back thicker/darker?

s21972012145525 the simplest way to explain is that we all have vellus hair, it turns into “terminal” hair because of changes in our hormones (e.g puberty). Like how men have more testosterone and so their hair ends up becoming a beard or moustache. Hormones play a big role in how our hair changes.

Jeff Orta the hair changes yes and waxing doesn’t kill the hair follicle immediately, only over years of waxing

GalaxyDreaming I guess what I meant to say is how do you differentiate between a vellus hair and normal hair when dermaplanning? If you claim that vellus hair doesn’t come back darker/thicker upon removal, does that also mean that Normal hair does? How do you avoid dermaplanning the normal hair if so? Because many people also claim that normal hair doesn’t grow back thicker or darker after shaving, even though I personally don’t find this true in my case...

Not recommended but you could dermaplan around areas if there are uneffected areas, Defo not over psoriasis areas.

I can’t remember putting a filter on it, sometimes I use one to blur edges when doing Asmr for a softer look but I do work under a very bright ring light too and that could be making it look different. Is it weird looking to you?

It is a close shave but also a full face exfoliation as it scraps off the old dead skin also.

With all due respect, your methods are too abrasive. Your face doesn’t have to be dry, there’s a guy on KZfaq who does this treatment but with a special shaving lotion. The skin is much less irritated after. My skin couldn’t take this, I’d be all broke out. Think about exploring your options.

Thanks for the feedback, this is just the way I was trained by a company, i have not trained through any other to feel comfortable with an alternative. I have seen other people’s processes and thought about trialling it on myself. I haven’t had issues with any clients breaking out, the reverse resulting in clearer skin but again will check out other people’s processes, no harm in that. 😊

I focus on spoken Asmr due to many requests from people that enjoy my soft spoken content. This is the style of the videos I make, not many of my videos are non verbal but there are plenty of channels that provide no talking Asmr in the wonderful world of KZfaq
