I also have the Concept 500 sat on iso acoustics Gaia II powered by a Michi x5 integrated amplifier which usefully has tone controls i occasionally increase the treble by 2-5db and decrease the bass by 2-5 db depending on the source and material . I am very very pleased with this combo it replaced a pair of Meridian 8000se active speakers which were too big for the new house . I couldn`t do without tone controls they are essential because recordings vary so much .

The Concept 500 is one of the finest speakers I’ve auditioned.

Then you need to attend a hifi show and hear “real” hifi. Granted these are cheap (most real imaging -holographic speakers start at $15,000-20,000 each

Just put a set of Isoacoustics Gaia II under the concept 500s and you’ll get all the sparkles and definition you’ll ever want from them.. they are definitely the biggest upgrade I’ve ever experienced with my C500s other than changing amplifier (way more than changing DAC/streamer/turntable/prephono/cables)

With those speakers, my preference goes to class AB mode; seemed to me fuller with more depth and low end umph. Both sound great!

🤗😁THOMAS …. Listening again sitting in the sweet spot with the volume up on my 802s and sounds fantastic and I like the last part better more open more bass JUST FYI 🤗😍😍😍

Keep up the great work Thomas. I am looking for a speaker that’s not bright because I listen to a lot of punk rock. Do you feel like this speaker would be suited for that genre of music? I will be driving it with two pm 10’s in bi-amp mode

We are building them now so they should be ready by September for the first batch to ship. It would take 2 months to ship by sea so I expect everyone to get it by Nov.

Hi Thomas, do you enjoy the Venus II DAC? I’ve owned it for a month now - WOW. It’s amazing bang for buck imo, although I have no reference above this price point.
