yes Olya if you don't have fresh shrimps, fresh frozen would be a lot better than pre-cooked(pink shrimps as you called them). tiger prawns are good as well. mom Olya was really good capturing those beautiful architecture and scenery at st. petersburg. liked the B rolls.

You can add sugar if become salty or you don't have oyster sauce just use sugar and soy sauce it taste same when you cook other dish with oyster sauce.

The pink shrimp taste good especially when it's fresh,the medium shrimp is better compared to large shrimp.The grey shrimp is also good but I like more the pink shrimp.You can also cook Hipon (shrimp)rebusado your children will love so with your handsome husband.God bless you all and good day!

I agree, the smell of garlic roasting is fantastic. Always, remember, that is always the proper sequence. Always start browning your garlic before you add anything else. Then onions because it's watery. I love your Mom Ira shows us the Russians canal with locals using as their transportation. It's like when my husband and I visited Amsterdam, the Netherlands. NOW, Olya I challenge you to watch another chef or any Filipino cook that has a different way of cooking this dish. That's how you will learn some secrets to help you cook even better than Manabat. I love looking at those European achitecture, in Britain, Paris and Germany also in Belgium, the Netherlands. Not like here in the United States, they are always blowing up in smoke with dynamite and build new ones. So, history is lost. SAD!!

Olya, I think when you use small shrimps with this dish it can go well with pasta like spaghetti or linguine. Eat with dinner loaf and let the loaf absorb the sauce left on the plate😋Bigger shrimps are said to be good for grilling, but anything sauteed in butter will probably taste good anyway 😅

Here at home we also stir in the gambas our favorite veggies like green beans and potatoes or asparagus when it comes cheap. And add a little slurry or water to keep it from drying up

Ms.Olya,the basic meal is 3 times a day and merienda is 2 times between meal time at 10 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.Rice and 1 recipe is enough to prepare in every meal and additional left over.
