This statue/pose really shows how agile this character is. The colors are so vibrant and the energized cards are absolute show-stoppers! Great vid, Gem!

Card Affect goes to SS, Display-ability goes to XM, Paint & Sculpt are pretty equal. I think the advantage of XM is it can pair better with other pieces were SS is really meant for that specific line. XM I think has the slight edge for me. Both winners though.

Portrait on SS looks like the Jim Lee version of the character. I have to give it to SS for that alone.

Wow best part of the video is on 12:51 when both Gambit and Rogue are paired together. Like you seeing a Danger Room action over there..Love it!! Astig!!

You had the exact same criticisms as me, I think the wave look like a Barbie accessory with the silver splatters on clear pink plastic, and YES! The sheen on the base shows me they sprayed the clear coat either in a cold environment and it didn’t cure properly or it wasn’t mixed before they sprayed it down

Yo Gem, just keyed mine together. I can’t believe this thing is sitting in my house, man...makes me laugh thinking back to that first toybiz Gambit figure I had with the garbage bag coat. The first back issue I ever bought was Uncanny 266 for $18.00 back in 1994 lol, think I had to borrow $5 from my Dad to get it. Love all your videos on the old Marvel Master Piece sets, takes me right back to 6th grade man. Keep it brother. EXCELSIOR!

A totally minty fresh and honest review. XM does have the edge. But Sideshow Gambit does pair nicely with Sideshow Rogue.👍

Man Big ups to Richard Luong for the design. Collector in the community and now one of the design artist at sideshow which helps as he relates to both aspect of the spectrum. Good to see he's working next to a god amongst men in the statue world William Harbottle. Great review Gem and as always, keep it minty fresh ma man :)

My favorite X-Men character by far. I can’t really pick which ones I like the most. Which is a good thing. Both are unique in their own right. The toothpick portrait is 🔥 Can’t wait to receive both.

Was so happy when I saw your review up! Thought this statue was going to be delayed again. Which means I should be getting my PO soon. The XM has more texture detail on the suit, but I like the SS pose, portrait and translucent effect better vs. the painted one. I think the effect has to be plastic so to be as lightweight as possible. I don’t mind that.

I love this this statue more than the previous one, the colours are so vibrant it's beautiful to look at. When you did a close up of the head sculpt from a certain angel with the toothpick he kinda looks like Clint Eastwood. Then I started thinking maybe his son Scott Eastwood could play him in a movie??

Just got mine in and I love it. XM gets points for the added texture to the chest and I actually prefer the more muted shades and less glossy paint job they used. Plus I’m more of an SS budget than XM
