Funny enough, the Framerate is higher, the more Light you have. The Game Boy Camera can up to 60FPS, but realistically it's more like 20-30fps under good condition.

Just picked up a gameboy camera for supprisingly cheap and searched to see if it works with the super gameboy adapter and found this gem of a video! Cool stuff!!

i searched Gameboy camera filter on google hoping to find some shitty filter addon for my webcam, not even in my wildest dreams I thought someone would have done the actual thing. People like you is why i still subject myself to the internet.

Brings back some Memories. A few Years ago I have produced a Music Video with a Chiptunes Artist and the complete Work is made of Game Boy Camera Footage. But I used a VGA Modded Game Boy Classic for Video out.

That's cool! Do you really need to upscale it to HD? Can you not use the composite signal?

For my PC to be able to capture the input I needed it to be HDMI. If you have a composite capture device then you could use that as well of course.

I'm assuming teams is picking up the audio elsewhere. I guess it's possible to use left right channel audio wires from some time of mic to retrotink.

The RetroTink2x output is seen as a webcam without Mic. So you do still need an external mic if you want audio :)

If you wanted to make it a little less obvious to your audience what you did, you could try finding a way to crop the image to hide the border.

You can totally do that in OBS if you're streaming for example. I couldn't find any crop option in Teams or Zoom.
