The way I get past this game is by treating Fi like a bad memory. I put it to the side, and pretend like it doesn’t exist. No matter how pervasive it might be, how hard it tries to ruin my day, I won’t let it. This game is secretly a metaphor for overcoming grief and acceptance of the past.

3:42 is one of my favorite things from this series, hands down.

the many steps of Arin Hanson playing a video game on grumps: 1. doesn't listen to the game telling him to go to X location/complains that he doesn't know where to go. 2. complains about gameplay being either boring or too hard/dies due to trying to rush through sections where he'd probably have more luck if he took his time. 3. refuses to take time to do things like sidequests because he thinks they're boring/complains because the game is too hard and he isn't high enough level or hasn't done enough preparations (in this case not upgrading his equipment or doing sidequests to get pieces of heart) 4. doesn't listen to Dan or refuses to look at a walkthrough/complains at Dan when it turns out he's right about where to go or what to do next. 5. complains about a certain feature of the game for being stupid or pointless/complains more when he gets to a section where said feature is required. (two good zelda examples are using the shield in Majora's mask/Using wolf form in Twilight Princess) sure there are probably more, but this is very much the character that Arin has created.
