Why does Google say "translate to English" only to change "of" to "between"😂
@feliscorax
@feliscorax Жыл бұрын
@@GoodKnightChess Because ‘between’ is the more correct preposition for subject-verb agreement in this sentence. ‘Of’ is used in relationships - 1 of 2, for example - rather than the type of negative relationship implied by a rivalry. That’s one of the reasons why it is more correct to say, in a positive context, ‘They’ve a good working relationship *with* each other’ OR ‘The relationship between them is good’. So, as an alternative, one could instead say that, ‘There is no sadder story than Gukesh and Abdusattarov’s chess battle *with* each other.’

Why sadder !! somebody press for an end game win ( time and again in positions ) with a 'world number one rapid player, and you pay the price. you could have walked out with a draw.. So after this game _Gukesh D._ dropped to 2892 Rp in this tournament and is second in this statistic just behind _David Howell_ with 2898. Only 5 players remained with Rp above 2800 ( _Nodirbek_ _Abdusattorov_ and _Anish Giri_ 2815, _Magnus Carlsen_ 2803) And as most of the top 5 teams played against each other in previous rounds the last round will be very specific and interesting. I wonder if there is a law that prohibits the pairing of Indian teams in this tournament as *India* and *India 2* are the only teams in the top 5 so far that haven't played against each other. Here are the pairings with accumulated points in the tournament so far: *Germany* (15) vs *India 2* (16) *Armenia* (17) vs *Spain* (15) *Uzbekistan* (17) vs *Netherlands* (15) *India* (16) vs *USA* (16) *Moldova* (15) vs *England* (15) *Azerbaijan* (14) vs *Serbia* (15) Teams with 16 and 17 points so far all have a high chance to win the whole tournament, teams with 15 points probably too, but it's closer to zero. Also, as a slovak fan it's funny to see that we did not evade the rivalry with our fellow neighbour *Czech Republic* in the last round. It's gonna be interesting :)

That announcement at the end turned the match from a trench war standstill into a vicious knife fight. What a rush it is to see both players going only for the win. Even 1300 rated players can see the idea of Rd7 right away in the key position. But hopefully we also see it fails after QxN because the mating square is covered. But it seems logical to then see if there is another way to attack that f7 square. Then Qh5 is fairly easy to spot. Great analysis and exciting game. It was a major gut check win for Abdusattorov.
