i cant blame kit to be depressed and be attach to his work. imagine how many years u woke up early for the movie, see the cast everyday , and be comfortable with them.

To be honest all of these actors from the show are amazing both talented men and women who will always be remembered for being in an awesome medieval-themed show. Kind of reminds me of Skyrim but more live-action-based.

I wish them all luck and I know they'd like to be working, but honestly if they never do another acting roll, they will go down in history as the cast of the finest most interesting and entertaining production of all time. Each of the episodes was worth a block buster movie.

What SHOULD of happened? Arya kills Jamie Lanister, takes his face and kills Cersi. Danerys assumes the throne, but dies during child birth and Jon/Aegon becomes the King. Bran stays the 3-eyed raven and the North remains part of the the 7 kingdoms.

I’m sure Aiden Gillen was very happy to be part of a world famous blockbuster series that was passionately loved by millions and received nothing but praise… until the disastrous ending, when the huge anticlimax was criticised on social media. Aiden can’t have it both ways, basking in the glow of praise and then sulking when the praise turns to justifiable disappointment. It was petty and immature of him to hit out at the fans and he obviously needs to grow a thicker skin.

I hated the way GoT ended. But I think too much of the blame has been placed on showrunners Dan and Dave. Too many people seem to forget that it was their roll to produce a screen ADAPTATION of George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire." It was never supposed to be their job to write the story's ending for Martin who could not be bothered to finish one book, let alone the two that were needed, in almost an entire decade, leaving the showrunners to improvise tyhrough the last three seasons of the show,. Season 6 demonstrated the beginning of the writing beginning to slip, but it was still very solid, and it gave us some of the most amazing visuals that had ever been seen in a small-screen production. D&D probably had some pretty detailed information to go on for this season and allowed them to take us all the way to Dany setting sail for Westeros, with an epic scene that left audiences wishing that what had been the longest episode of the series at that point had not ended there. But seasons 7 and 8 were based on book content that was far from complete., leaving D&D to make a lot of stuff up to fill in the gaps that Martin had refused to fill for almost a decade. This resulted in less than masterful foreshadowing. They made so many references to things that it was painfully obvious what was going to happen that the shock and awe of previous seasons was reduced to just a "Meh..." experience for many. And Season 8 was the worst because it clearly had no solid direction. I would say that the material D&D had to work with for S7 was akin to cliff's notes for Winds of Winter, and just essentially a list of bullet points to go by for S8, where they had key events that had to happen, but no solid drama or story arc resolution pre-written to really make the audience feel the end result. People blame D&D for making Bran end up as king, Dany going mad, Jon killing her, and other perceived stupid decisions. However, shortly after the finale aired, George R. R. Martin himself went on record to say that the books will end essentially the same way, but with a lot more character perspectives. This was a big departure from his earlier position that the shows were doing theirt thing, while the books would go differently. Granted, he may have just been referring to the flow of events on the journey, but the destination was always locked in. As a former television writer himself, he knew the need to take creative license to keep a TV shows narrative on track. It's a lot harder to split a single show up into too many diverse story arcs. It works in books because you don't have a budget to operate under, so you can have as many characters and settings as you want. Game of thrones as a series would have been too convoluted and expensive to produce if HBO had followed every thread in Martin's existing books. And things seldomly work when you try to do a direct 1:1 translation from page to screen. I believe that D&D's biggest mistake was even seeking to begin the project when the story they meant to base it on was incomplete. But in all fairness, how were they to know that Martin would deliver no more books until well after the series was going to end anyway. HBO may have been willing to extend the series but extend it with WHAT? The source material was exhausted for the story arcs they were following. If they were suddenly to jump into other arcs from the books not originally included, it would have left viewers who had only watched the shows scratching their heads and wondering what they were watching. No. They did what they could do with what they had to work with. When i was completed material, it was awesome, but when they had to start filling in the blanks, it fell flat. Had Martin actually worked solidly on the last two books during the show's run, I doubt we would be having this discussion.
