These costumes look so different on this video from what I've seen on the HBO show. I would never have guessed these costumes are so richly detailed.

I think Sansa's pendant is a visual clue of the Ghost of High Heart prophesy:I dreamt of a maid ( Sansa pink wedding, show had necklace ) at a feast with purple serpents in her hair, venom ( poison ) dripping from their fangs. And later I dreamt that maid again, slaying a savage giant ( Littlefinger, Eyrie or Winterfell ) in a castle built of snow. -the ghost of High Heart, to Beric Dondarrion, Lem, and Thoros of Myr in A Storm of Swords, chapter 43. The pendant is in the form of Theta, Greek symbol for DEATH. Death coming down the stairs, smiling at Littlefinger.

I don't know, but Sansa's necklace always reminds (rather uncomfortably) of her virginity. In the Eyrie her circle has a bar across it, whilst after her ordeal with Ramsey she just wears a circle.

As fun as it is to spin GoT theories, I don't think most of these symbols actually represent subtle foreshadowing. The hexagon for example just became a visual shorthand for someone with links to Asshai or eastern magic. It is used in the same way that the x-shaped cloak straps are associated with the North. It's just a visual aid to the viewers to represent where a character is from or which camp they belong to.

Personally, I lean towards thinking that Sansa’s pendant is a Theta and not Phi because the Theta features prominently in other stories by Martin and I’m partially (although not fully) convinced that the planet Westeros inhabits is part of the 1,000 worlds that Martin wrote about, earlier in his career. Whatever the case may be, I don’t think Sansa wore it knowing it had potentially powerful symbolism. And, the pendant, like all the other symbols, aren’t necessarily one definite thing or another until Martin says so. Even then, the show has veered very far away from the written material, there is no right or wrong answer.

I heard that sansa's pendant is a ring and a needle, showing her female coded strength (as opposed to Arya's male coded strength)

Phi does appear as a proportion very often in nature especially, when we see something as beautiful or harmonic. It was thus oftne copied (at times subconciously). You´d be surprised how often you can hide that ratio in the drawing of a person or in a sword.

Love the vids, I discovered your channel this morning and have been binge watching for a couple of hours now! However, there may be mistake in this one: at 6:55 you say you're showing some examples of hexagons in Islamic culture, but the left picture shows mostly squares and octagons. Watching it again, I can see some irregular hexagons, but those are not the dominant shapes imv.

The dagger/cross symbol is also used next to an animal’s or animal group’s scientific name to indicate that it is extinct. I always noted it but never knew it had a cool history.

_Easily hidden daggers_ well not today anymore. A typical medieval dagger wouldn´t even fit into a rucksack, which could contain a laptop, not to speak of any attire we would wear today (unless you count coats, which are not that common any more). I do really miss the concept of wide clothing, such as trousers and shirts, as they would be very comfortable, especially in summer. I wonder why they fell out of favour.

NOPE.......... Dark SANSA symbol is a THETA, not PHI... PHI has an overlaying line, THETA has an inclusive line only, like Dark Sansa symbol which is also in Season 8. Phi is nothing but phonetic "ph" of "f" sound.. BUT one may see Phi as IOTA over (or through) Omicron, potentially being Symbolic. Theta symbolizes DEATH, or maybe an ENDING... or, one could think "CHANGE"... as in "A NEW BEGINNING ALWAYS STARTS AT THE END". The Theta could foreshadow her death, OR it could symbolize Old Sansa is Dead, New Sansa is here..... the change. YOU PICK. Also, the GAME OF THRONES logo is not Phi, but Theta-ish, on its side...
