“I didn’t steal it I was just playing with it.” Is such an amazing line. He delivers it in such a way that you can see his inner child speak up.

"But the worst thing was that it was my brother who did it... and my father who protected him." That line is the heartbreak of Clegane's story. Even before he was a scarred outcast, called "Dog" and "Hound," he was all alone.
@axelramirez67307 ай бұрын
That’s what does it, when you realize your own family can honestly and genuinely give a damn about you. That’s true loneliness.

*This* is how you portray PTSD. It's not a stereotypical freak out when he's triggered. He's sent back to the mindset he was in when he got burned: a scared child. That's what a flashback is, you relive the event on an emotional level.

i remember first seeing this and it was so hard for me to even process it. it was hard to imagine the hound as a happy little boy playing with a toy but it was also hard to imagine a child could be cruel enough to do that to his own brother over a toy
@odinuuzoma5953 Жыл бұрын
You have no idea how cruel the mountain was. He was a sadist. Raped countless maids in his castle, killed servants if he was angry. He was just a very cruel person

Funny thinking the same idea, it's kinda the same that happened with Prince Zuko and King Ozai, he challenged his son for stupid reason just for speaking out of turn during a stupid boring meeting, all Ozai did was 1 flash fire, nearly burning Zuko's eye, all to teach respect, but Ozai was wrong, it was Only Cruel and Wrong, Iroh is true father to Zuko. And Gregor Clegane the Mountain took his toy back, went TOO FAR On his anger to his little brother nearly killed him, and that's thing, during that day he was no longer his brother anymore, and this is weird the pain was bad, smell was worse is that even possible? How bad can Human Burning skin Smell? And the Pain was lethal, smell wasn't, think pain is Worse
@ieuanclouter84943 күн бұрын
@@gabrielivan2538There is a slight difference. The Hound has no uncle Iroh to guide him, Zuko did. Sandor had no one to rely upon, he just festered in his hate and self-loathing while growing up, he believes he can be happy once he kills Gregor while Zuko wants to do his father proud in the begining, then came around to work with the Avatar, who helped him become more open and more like himself. Sandor in the Books, is in his mid to late twenties and show Sandor is most likely older. It has completely warped him, Zuko was in lucky, he had geniune people around him that cared for him. Sandor is a good representation of what would've happened to Zuko if he had no Iroh, but they grew completely differently.

It hit hard when I saw this to realize little Sandor just wanted to play with his big brothers toy for a minute and his brother freaks out and burns his face for it. How much that would effect a persons entire life.
@ajduong8 ай бұрын
I don't think he freaked out. He supposedly went up to him wordlessly and pushed Sandor's face into the fire. The Mountain is an outright psychopath

Every scene with Arya and the Hound is a gem.... here we witness Arya seeing a vulnerable side to the hound..... he's been shouting at her that he wishes he'd never set eyes on her.... but as he talks and reveals the hurt and betrayal he feels Arya sees a different side to him.... she sees a vulnerability in him that is seldom seen. We also see that he doesn't really mean he wishes he'd never sent eyes on her.... because here he is revealing his innermost feels to her. We already see that she's safe with him..... he wouldn't ever harm or abuse her and he wouldn't ever allow anyone else to either. Arya doesn't fully realise that however..... she does later in the series when she matures and is honest with herself.

That is because deep down Gregor is a GOOD person. He didn’t want to hurt anyone. Most of the time he was following orders. He only wanted to help others. In the end, it was the Starks who were the evil ones. ☹️

She lets him to his fate in the end, but the way i see it is that she came to understand him, so much that she betrayed in a sense that new self she had sworn to become, one that would complete her goals of killing everyone that had wronged her in some way. She came to simpathize with him but he is still the man who killed the butcher's boy, so she figured that not killing him and not helping him was the best thing she could do.
