One item this video missed was... during Jon and Dany's SS PoundTown scene, Dany starts out 'on top' and as the scene progresses and intensifies (along with Bran's expo VO), they switch positions - now with Jon on top. The obvious connection here is the symbolic and literal switching of power positions in the line of succession to the Iron Throne (as Bran explains) but is also a call back to the initial power play love scene with Dany and Khal Drogo - which really marked the beginning of Dany's rise to power (being on top).

It makes sense in a way that Viserion is the "bad" dragon now. Viserys was the bad one amongst the Targaryen siblings.

Completely agree. Take the original Star Wars movies. Flaws pouring out of them, but we are able to enjoy them nonetheless. I think that one thing people are forgetting is that Games of Thrones is on TV, and is created by directors who have a passion for the movie industry. Many of their decisions and the look and feel they give pay homage to movies and tv shows that have inspired them. GOT, much respect.

I think Jon and Dany being the meaning for the dragon and the wolf is a red herring. Jon himself is the dragon and the wolf. Much like how he told Theon is a greyjoy and a Stark.

Bran outed Littlefinger only after determining he is still a threat to the cause of defeating the Night King. He did not seem intent on removing Littlefinger for his past wrongs until he determined that he was still sowing chaos. On the other hand, Jaime's motivation is to be an asset in the fight against the Others, his motivations are in line with Bran's goals, I think Bran will see that. Jaime's actions are what sends Bran to become the Three Eyed Raven. It could be argued that Jaime's actions are the entire key to saving the Seven Kingdoms. Perhaps Bran sees it that way.

If Jamie comes right out with the truth about the double cross, then he can be trusted. If he keeps the secret, not so much. I think Bran will make one of his typical cryptic quotes, "the things I do for love," which will let Jamie know he knows what he did, but also that he doesn't care about revenge. He cares about the future. Somehow I'm thinking it ends with two fathers, Jamie and Jon, raising motherless children. Which both of them were themselves.

My impression of Tyrion's face on the boat was that he see's Danny getting pregnant as a road block for how he wants to make the world a better place. He made it pretty clear that he wants to set up a democracy of sorts and if she gets pregnant that would make it a lot harder for him to convince her to do that rather than passing the throne onto her heir. We will see.

I like this interpretation. My thought was twofold 1) that he sees Jon as a threat to his own power. He is hand of the queen for now, but lately Dany has been siding more with Jon in terms of strategy. 2) Jon and Dany getting together complicates things. It means that they will think more with their hearts than with their heads which means that they will be more difficult to control. Think of the last convo we see between Tyrion and Varys.

Good thinking. This was troubling me. I also agree with the theory that he must have made a deal with his sis regarding her kid getting the throne, so if Jon/Dany have a kid, his deal with Cersi is over, which puts everyone in danger. But it also makes sense that he doesn't like his advice being dismissed. He did tell Varys how much he enjoyed playing the game when he was Jofferys hand. So maybe he is playing the game???

People are kinda dumb here, Tyrion didn't say anything to Cersei to get her to agree because Cersei was always going to agree in order to betray them. She makes it obvious to Tyrion that she's pregnant and that's why she ends up agreeing cuz she tries to convince him that she wants a good world for her kid or whatever. Think about it, why would she even have wine in that room if she didn't intend to drink it... So that Tyrion can offer her a glass and she can decline it and he can figure it out. Also, she's really bait about putting her hand on her stomach to make it obvious.

pretty sure Bran becomes the night king in the future by getting stuck in the past somewhere and losing his humanity in the process. I think he influences all these events somewhere in the future by visiting the past to sow chaos in order to bring true peace.

Great job pointing out the Lannister hardware on the dothraki. I also noticed one of them was wearing part of a red cloak too. With winter coming, they didn't have warm clothing so it makes sense to take what they needed from the dead Lannisters. I would love to see the masters at the Citadel's reactions when they get the raven from Winterfell that the wall has fallen! Those bedpans will runneth over! lol

I think the implication is that Tyrion already knows Cersei's plans. And he agreed and changed sides. So his torment was knowing he had betrayed Jon and Dany. Not saying I agree with the theory. But that's my understanding of it. Since we never saw what they agreed to that led to Cersei announcing her support (Which was so obviously insincere.

The beach and pathway to Dragonstone, with their incredible rock formations, as well as the Loot Train Attack were also shot in Spain. The top of the Cliffs were in Norrthern Ireland.

The quest of the seven beyond the wall to capture a wight was completely wasted on Cersei. I think it would have been better if the captured wight was taken to the Citadel instead, and wake those complacent and arrogant maesters from their dream. Finding a way to defeat the dead army is now paramount. Samuels advice would have been favored had the maesters seen that wight. How come the likely hood of Viserion being reanimated by the Night King is completely lost on Jon? Several times he has been the one reiterating cremation of any dead person or animal as a preventative measure, particularly when the death occurs beyond the wall. How he has not considered this outcome is frustrating.

That's a very good point. However now Bran knows everything as he saw all of this happen. I can imagine that the first episode will be lots of chaos. Bran will warn everyone at Winterfell and the entire North. As soon as Jon and Dany make it to White Harbor there should be a raven there for them. I can't imagine that Drogon and Rhaegal didn't follow them but if not, they will have to fly up there asap. Maybe Jamie also sent a raven ahead to warn everyone that his sister was lying.

Very solid point on showing the wight to the Citadel, but only Sam knows how stubborn they are being, so makes sense that they weren't even invited to the display/attempt at armistice. Re: Viserion-- Jon tells Euron that the wights cannot swim, yet somehow they were able to connect massive boating chains to a dead dragon to bring him to the surface. Either the NK has purposefully hid his legion of undead fish/sea mammals from Jon et. al., or there is a continuity error in the story. Either way, Jon didn't think that he had to burn drowned bodies.

Okay. I agree with your point about Jon assuming that the dragon is at the bottom of the lake, beyond the reach of the NK. Now, how they got to the dragon...? GRRM, Benioff, Weiss, ... Somebody's got some explaining to do.

1) He saw them leaving the spot where the dragon went down. 2) He saw Wytes fall in the water and not return (remember he believes they can't swim). 3) How was Jon to know that 4 gigantic chains would pop up out of nowhere, non-swimming Wytes could manage to freedive and hook them around a gigantic dragon (did they send an army underwater?) So, it seems reasonable and logical that Jon wouldn't guess this outcome.

Robert's Rebellion didn't start because Robert was jealous of Rhaegar and Lyanna, it started because they thought Rhaegar has kidnapped her and when Neds father and brother went to King's Landing to ask the king to bring Rhaegar to heel and because of this he burned Ned's father alive. Starting the rebellion.

o.k here's what I think is the night kings motivation: the children of the forest created him to protect them from the first men/humans, and to fight them, so he might in a sense be a rogue AI. What's the best way to fulfill his purpose? by killing all of the humans, even if the children of the forest will stand in his way. He's a Mr. Meeseeks, and he will go to any length to fulfill his mission.

When I saw the holes in Viseryon's wings I wondered for a moment how long he would be able to fly with that deterioration, but then I remembered the wight who seem to be able to walk and fight when they're just skeletons, devoid of muscles.

It seems to me that the boat-sex scene was significant in that it started with Dany on top (in the dominant position), thereby subconsciously saying "I am the Queen" and then Jon flipped her over to take the dominant position thereby subconsciously saying, "I am the King."

With "history & influence" from this entire season. From Robert's rebellion, the secret marriage of Lyanna and Rhager is similar to Helen of Troy. Rob went to war because he believed his soon to be wife was taken from him.

The strange thing with this is. Agamemmnon went to war against Troy because he wanted to end Troys regime in that area of the midsea. The excuse he needed was the lie about Helena being taken Hostage by Paris. But Helena was promised/married to Agamemmnons BROTHER! - So with Robert B. and Eddard Stark being like brothers, it could well be that it was Ned Stark who told the lie about Rhaegar and Lyanna.

Robert didn't fight because he was jealous, he genuinely thought that Lyanna had been kidnapped and raped. I actually think that it was Littlefinger who convinced the lovers to do everything in hiding just to create some chaos ladder for himself.

Aleksi Mäkelä thanks, I know, I've read the books a few times now. It's my own personal take on the reasons Rhaegar and Lyanna might have to stage a kidnap and rape that caused such havoc. Littlefinger had no real power at Court but still ha could have manipulated them into doing things secretly. There's no doubt that he did climb the ladder after the rebellion

Mara Valdecasas he knew the Starks, Lyanna is the sister of Ned. With Rhaegar gone and the Targs defeated and mostly dead, he could have needed that edge to become more powerful.

I have an idea that I just thought about. The prophecy says that Cersei will die by her younger brother's hands. I think that she is going to die in childbirth. Her and the child will die, dead by Jaime's hands, as he is the one who impregnated her.

Maybe it was pre-planned that he would find a way to excuse himself from the meeting and pretend to turn his back on Cersei, just as it was pre-planned for Cersei to turn her back on the armistice, only to reconsider it. They were both ruses set-up to manipulate the other players into underestimating Cersei's strength.

I don't see why Dany couldn't just slaughter Cersei and her crew at the dragon pit, then take the throne. If she killed everyone there and took over, I doubt anyone would complain except for Euron's navy, which could then be burned by her two dragons.

I think Tyrion guaranteed Dany would spare Cersei’s child. The whole “no child should pay for the sins of their father/mother” thing that has played a big role in this season. Tyrion would NOT put an unborn Lannister on the throne without Dany’s consent.
