That sounds very dangerous with Tywin around. He would quickly deduce that this would be a Tyrel power grab that weakens the Lannister position in this alliance, and would act accordingly. Tywin didn't like Jofrey at all, but he needed a child with Lannister blood on the throne to excersize control, and he's infamous for destroying those who mess with his family honour.

Excellent analysis. I agree with everything you said and I'll add a couple of things. 1. The key to controlling Joffrey is to never let him be in any actual position of power. Make sure that he barely has any contact with people who can actually do any harm by following his orders. Joffrey's biggest hits - ordering Ned's death, ordering the butchery of bastards, ordering the soldiers to kill the rioters, ordering Tyrion's assassination - all could've been prevented had Cersei made sure that the people taking those orders were loyal to her instead of Joffrey. Tyrion was smart enough to do it by firing Slynt and putting Bronn in charge, but he couldn't actually control the Kingsguard. Between Tywin, Marg and Jamie as the LC, they can make sure the every one of Joffrey's orders go through them. Which means Joffrey would be stuck with his petty villainy of torturing random whores and peasants. 2. Cersei would most likely be married off to Loras and be sent off to Highgarden. Joffrey's death ended up postponing her marriage almost indefinitely and after Tywin, no one could actually force her to marry. 3. With Joffrey alive and the realm stable, I believe we'd see more of Westerosi economics. Now that the kingdoms are more of less united, Tywin could set about setting things right. Bringing law and order back, fixing the Riverlands, getting more loans from the Iron Bank and so on. Both Westeros and the Lannister clan are on the verge of imminent financial collapse and Cersei's actions were only speeding things up. It might have been interesting to see how Tywin dealt with those problems. 4. With Sansa and Tyrion in KL with Tyrion as the Master of Coin, with Baelish in Eyrie married to Lysa and biding his time, with Varys having no reason to run and with no Stark available for Ramsay to marry, things in the North and Essos might've turned out differently. Being busy with Tyrion's trial allowed Tywin to ignore the rumblings of King beyond the Wall - but if Stannis is helping the Watch defend Westeros from the Wildlings, Tywin could hardly avoid getting involved. There is a possibility that his attention to the matter actually gets all of the Westeros involved in that war. 5. Without Tyrion's trial getting his attention, Tywin might focus more on bringing Dany down. And he might succeed. He took Jorah from her by sending just 1 letter. He might be able to do more by supporting Astapor and Yunkai in funding the Harpy revolution. With no Tyrion and Varys keeping, peace, Jorah exiled, Selmy dead, dragons imprisoned or roaming wild and her own political inexperience, Dany would be so busy trying to maintain a semblance of order in Mereen that she might just completely fail to ever set sail to Westeros.

no way margery could contain joffery. joffery was a sexual sadist, psychopath. those urges wouldn't be controllable for him. at very best joffrey would have had a mask of sanity and just been killing prostitutes and poor people and wouldn't be able to sleep with margery in a normal way since she wouldn't have got him aroused. Normal sex didn't interest him. it struck me that the only time he would have got a hadon in the whole show was during the time he killed the prostitute. there was only so long margery could have played into that psychosis.

Tywin would be far less cold to Tyrion. Though would still not fully respect him. Can't remember what type of persona Joanna was so I'm not sure how she would've treated Tyrion. Joanna had once caught Jaime and Cersei fooling around when they were kids, so I think she would've been far less ignorant about it unlike Tywin. Not sure if Cersei would still be as cold to Tyrion. She still wouldn't have liked Tyrion based of how crazy she actually is.

@ReaverLordTonus4 жыл бұрын
I'd like to think that having to attend Jeoffery's wedding was the only reason Tyrion couldn't just take Sansa away from Kings Landing, either go to Casterly Rock or perhaps take Sansa home to Winterfell as some way to give her relief from all she's endured, personally I think Cersei or Jeoffery killing Shae would would be the tipping point for him to abandon his family altogether and then Varys would offer to take him and Sansa to Esos so by the time Tywin discovers they went neither to Winterfell or Casterly Rock they'd be safely out of his reach. This could then lead to a scenario where Oberyn seeks his revenge against Tywin and the Mountain, Lady Orlenna conspires to kill Jeoffery after perhaps his wedding night with Margery is less than stellar, setting up Oberyn to take the fall, leading to the trial by combat and his death. As for who'd kill Tywin, I'd see Cersei doing it when her lust for power becomes too great and then frames Loras Tyrell for the crime. Meanwhile Varys convinces Tyrion and Sansa to go to Dany in Mireen, heirs to two noble houses willing to defect to her side would be a tempting offer. Sansa has an opportunity to get to know Dany better this time around and would offer some input to set her on a better path, Varys would be a better teacher to Sansa than Little Finger, who meanwhile has pledged himself to find her for his own twisted plans and successfully abducts her from Esos and takes her to the Boltons in Winterfell, Tyrion, who has bonded with her in their time together, wants to rescue her so they reach out to Jon and the Battle of the Bastards play out but instead of the Knights of the Vale coming to the rescue, Dany comes with her dragons and destroys Ramsey's army. In the aftermath Jon and Dany meet for the first time but have different agendas and part amicably for now, Sansa stays at Winterfell and Tyrion will be going with Dany, perhaps they can have a moment together before they part ways, perhaps him wanting to release her of her marriage to him thinking it's what she wants but she prefers that they work that out at a later time. Jon does what he needs to do in the North while Dany does what she does in the South, though with less messing things up on Tyrion's part.

Theon would not have escaped with Sansa because there would be no Sansa in the North. He probably wouldn't have ever meet Dany and would of probably died. Joffrey, Cersei, Tyrion are definitely dead. I don't think Stannis would be as forgiving to the councel members as Robert was, so they'd all be killed or sent to the wall. Tommen would be dead in the show, in the books he'd be at Rosby. Tywin, Loras, Mace Tyrell would've either had to retreat or would've died. Stannis would be king, not everyone would support it, but he'd use Edric Storm (book), Gendry (show) to prove that Joffrey was a bastard. Robbwould've probably tried to make a peace treaty with Stannis. Possibly be willing to be warden of the north again. The problem with Robb was that he was King of the North and Riverlands. That is far too much territory for Stannis to give up. Stannis would've possibly tried and force the Lord of Light on everyone. Destroyed septs and Weirdwoods. Don't think everyone would take too kindly to this.

Seeing that Joffrey was crazy I think Tywin would replace the entire Kingsguard with men who understood that Tywin was really the one in charge. And they (and the council, who would also be made clear of this) would not carry out any important or crazy orders without clearing them first. Aaaand unless king Joffrey learns to control his more sadistic impulses in public he would spend the rest of Tywins life being essentially grounded. Yes, even after he is an adult. Not even allowed to attend council meetings. Because Tywin is allergic to inefficient rule and ridicule. "Sorry, your highness. You can't leave your room. The floors of the castle being cleaned and are very slippery and unsafe... this month.
@jenaminton70095 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that Tywin was in with Olenna and Lord Baelish on the assassination of Joffery. Tommen was much younger and a bit more moldable to Tywin's image no matter how much of a difference Margery and Tywin tried it wouldn't have worked. Olenna didn't want Margery marriage to Joffrey, but Tommen was a lot nicer kid to be around. It was a win win on both sides. After all, the people that got implicated in the murder was Tyrion (who Tywin hated because he caused the death of his wife and he was a dwarf) and Sansa Stark (who was a threat to the Tyrell/Barantheon alliance and probably because she was easy to implicate. She had the poison necklace, but it was Tyrion that handed the cup to Joffrey. They were the ones implicated. Tywin was also betting on another factor was well. Tyrion demanding a trial by combat because that was what he did at the Vale when he was accused of murder and attempted murder. Tywin would have been betting that he would do the same thing again. This time, he was betting that the Champion would be Prince Oberon, the Red Viper, once it was announced that the Mountain would be the Crown's champion. This got rid of another thorn in his side as Prince Oberon was asking a lot of questions and demanding the Mountain's head for what he did to his sister and her children. The Mountain would kill Prince Oberon. Dorne would have been in fighting between themselves over what to do. He would send them the Mountain's head as compensation which would have taken out someone that knew too much and had gotten out of control. It would have been a huge win for Tywin and he let Lady Olenna and Lord Baelish think it was all their plan. That is why Lord Tywin is the ultimate puppet master. He lets people think things are their idea when in reality they are playing right into his hands.

On Tyrion, if Tywin lived he never would have allowed Joffrey to just straight up murder Tyrion. The only reason he was willing to allow it after Joffrey's death was because of the trial - it made allowed him to let Tyrion be executed (or take the black, I believe there was an offer for that) in a legitimate way without tarnishing the Lanister reputation more than Tywin already thinks Tyrion tarnishes the Lanister reputation. If Joffrey wanted to execute or exile his uncle, he would have needed a legitimate, legal way to do it or Tywin would have put a stop to it. Not because Tywin cared, but because he was keenly aware of appearances and reputations. I can't remember if it was in the books or the show (I think the books), but if I recall correctly Tyrion had finally secured permission to leave for Casterly Rock (and take Sansa) after the wedding. I thought it was contingent on her being pregnant, but I can't remember exactly. I was a bit disappointed that Sansa and Tyrion didn't work out. They made for a very cute couple and I think they had far more in common than Sansa realized. Plus, having seen Tyrion's point of view, we know that he did genuinely care about her and wanted to protect her as best he could. It's not the most romantic of love (like the forbidden Tyrion/Shae), but if it was able to develop, it could have turned more into a lasting sort of love/affection like what Ned and Cat had. They weren't in love when they were wed either - they married for duty but came to care for each other in time.

One thing was left out regarding Sansa and Tyrion. The books strongly imply that Joffrey would rape Sansa eventually. Tyrion flew into a rage when the young king taunted him about doing Sansa on his wedding night if the dwarf wasn't up to it. Tyrion would not let the rape of his wife go unpunished, and I believe that either he or Joffrey would end up dead as a result.

Somehow someway Joffery would've ended up killing his mother which I then think would've been his downfall as Jamie would've reaffirmed his nick name as Kings Slayer or Tywin would've killed him himself

More than likely a semi civil war starts btw Joffrey and Tywin. As tension were beginning to rise btw them in that small council meeting after rob stark death. Stannis questions and is skeptical about the validity of melisandras blood magic . Arya eventually takes out joffrey years later after she gains the faceless man skill.

what do you think would happen if Joffery survived all the way up until season 7? if some kind of negotiations between the army of the living and the Lannisters still took place (assuming Tyrion's absence doesn't stop Danaerys and Jon from becoming allies), how would Joffery react to it do you think?

I think as soon as they had a son someone in the Tyrell family would have killed him. They would have the crown and all of the power. As long as it didn't trace back to them. Wouldn't hurt for them to have him set up a will in case he died making absolute sure his child would be next in line regardless of age.

He might die anyway because its a theory that Oberyn was poisoning Tywin so if Tywin dies every Lannister is in danger and everybody hated Joffrey so in one way or another we will ended dying..Also Tyrion didnt meet Dany and maybe she ended dying too.

I don't think Jeoffrey would be a better person, not even a little bit better. He liked pleasing Margaery but i think that as soon as she did something that pissed him he would have started mistreating her too.

I don't think Joffrey ever would have completely changed, but he might have been somewhat better.

The most Noteable thing I can think of that would have chained from this is Sansa leaving and joining Jon to take back the North. But Petyr Baelish might have still tried to take her away. Also in both the books and the show Oberyn wanted to face the mountain so he might still end up fighting him. Like what if Oberyn succeeds in poisoning Tywin he gets accused faces off against the mountain in a trial by combat and Cerci has Tyrion imprisoned for conspiring with Oberyn when she really is just upset about him sending Myrcella away to Dorne which is hostile now because of what happened to Oberyn. Then everything will just line back up except Joffrey will still be alive.

I have some what is ideas 1. What if Elia, her children, and Rhaegar faked their deaths? 2. What if Viserys married some wealthy common girl? 3. What if Tyrion voluntarily disown himself from the Lannister family name? X. What if Tyrion married Tysha in advance in secret and has children with her?

What if Tyrion was actually 4 kilometers tall and reached all the way up to stratosphere where there is little to no oxygen so he would have to walk like a bear or just lie down on his stomach?

What about if Oberyn was actually poisoning Tywin like some fan theories say? I can't remember which poison, but it was mentioned at Tyrion's trial by Pycelle, one of the few to actually get a description - from the sounds of it, death by constipation. And Tywin had some constipation issues when Tyrion killed him. Eh? Possible?

There is no way that Tywin would allow Joffrey to reach his majority and run Westeros into the toilet.

off the top of my head ... What if oberyn wins against the mountain?. 2. What if the hound beats Brienne? What if the hound beats the mountain and the tourney of the hand in S1 at the Tourn of the hand? What if Mirri maz Duhr brings Drogo back for real? What hAppened if Talissa wasn't at the red wedding and baby Ned is born? What if Bran had been killed by Stiv or the assassin? What if Robert killed the boat before being gorged... sorry, love your videos and I'm a little drunk and just thinking of stuff. let me know if any are even credible

If we hadn't of heard the admittance, we would still be guessing who his killer was. So it would be way too hard to predict his death in a future moment after his actual death and who and how. PS I would like to see what seasons 5 and 6 would have been like if the Sparrow never gained control of things.

I think Tyrian and Sansa would have left eventually because Joffrey threatened to kill him and has humiliated him in the past. I think he would have left with Sansa, but Sansa would have ditched Tyrian and ran away on horseback to her aunt and would have at some point ran into the Hound, maybe? maybe not. Tyrian would have realized how many enemies he had and probably would have left to seek Danarys or something.

Seeing as Joffrey actually had the forsight to consider Danny's dragons a potential threat (unlike Tywin) And how spoiling for a fight he was, I think he probably would have agreed to help fith the wight walkers, inlike cersei. He also probably would have gloated a lot when danny arrived.

Here's what I think: - tyrion will be sentenced to death cause it just pleases Joffrey but like in the original story, jamie free tyrion and send him to essos later join dany. - cercei will marry someone, tywin knows about the rumor about her and jamie, twyin will do anything to keep the disgraceful rumor off chart. - later tommen Will be sent to castely rock to be the warden of west.

I think you are giving Margarey too much credit. Remember in Joffrey had put up a nice guy act when he met Sansa, with only a few incidents showing his true nature before he was just full on the real Joffrey we know and hate. I feel like Margarey would have made a mistake at one point, she's playing with fire. Once she does, Joffrey will indeed become her nightmare. At that point Olenna would 100% certainly strike again.

Interestingly, it might improve things for the Long Night. Instead of showing *Cersei* the White Walker, they would be showing it to Joffrey and Tywin, who would absolutely be there as Hand of the King. Joffrey loves throwing military might at things, and there's no way Tywin isn't seeing that the whole war needs to be put on pause to higher priorities. He would likely somehow manage to send Tyrion along to the North (Hey, if we can manage to get the dwarf dead, he can then have Jaime recalled from the Kingsguard to take his place as heir). Overall, this markedly changes the entire ending of the series. Dany has a problem now. Without the constant instability of the Seven Kingdoms, her fight to secure Westeros is going to be vastly harder, especially after losses during The Long Night. Cersei never executes Missandei, because even if she got taken hostage, Tywin's ABSOLUTELY using her for a bargaining chip, so he needs Missandei alive.
