Virtual-On is back! But it comes together with a licensed IP from Dengeki Bunko. But don't worry! This still might be the best Virtual-On in the series yet! You just need to endure the horrors of being surrounded by a few cute girls XD

Got this game yesterday and I freaking love it! ^^ easily my favorite mecha fighting game period and a great introduction to the fast paced action of the Virtual On series, one thing I’d like to add is the graphics on the ps4 are a bit better but all in all this game is great just like this review, great work as always ^^

I really appreciate your review structure and demographic. The fact you have a reading comprehension level grade is great for people who want to import the game. Keep up the great work! Will you review the Senran Kagura Pinball game that’s coming to the Switch in Japan?

Good review as usual, really glad to hear that this is a good game and also it's pretty funny that thank to this game Toaru Majutsu no index was able to integrated into a Super Robot Wars(even if it's the gacha one) so who is your main in this game?

Tohma is my main. He's the "Ryu" of the game, as you might expect. Pretty balanced and easy to use. Since I'm not a Virtual-On pro, he's perfect for me.

Thanks for this review. You get right to the point, explain the game clearly. Well edited too. Top notch stuff. Ordered this game, not sure if I would like it, but this review has assured me it should be fun. I just hope I can turn off the voice acting during the battles.

This was an awesome review! I just discovered this game existed. My reality has been shattered. I have to wait for it to get here, but this game I should actually be able to play. Too bad I won't get the story but probably my life reflects it n e how

@@GANGRELION I don't think the powers that be want these ideas getting out. Fighting games should have evolved after voot came put on dreamcast Maybe ppl like me will get our shit back together I am so sick of playing sf2 over and over again 😢

This looks great, I always like the To Aru series, and seeing the story for a cross-over is good plus characters that only appear in the LN (for now) fully voiced is awesome in my book. Though why Kuroko is interested in a harem? I thought she only has eyes on Misaka Mikoto.

Is there any multiplayer in this game specifically local? or if multiplayer only whats your experience with the connection quality and are there many playing? Forgot about this game but going to Japan soon so may pick it up. Think the story may be a bit beyond my level but hopefully not to much so I can at least use it to study while having fun playing.

I think the only multiplayer is online. I didn't find local in the version I played, and since I currently don't have PS plus, I can't connect, so I don't know how is the online community for this game :(

Hmm had a feeling it would be online only thats a shame was hoping it may do split screen offline but I guess not. Ill bear that in mind anyway no local MP will affect how much I am willing to pay for the game. Thanks for the additional info much appreciated.

Question: Does the game have a feature where you can make your controls like the twin sticks using the analog?

The default controls use the left analog for movement and the right analog for camera, but if you wanted to change them for something else, unfortunately, there's no option for that.

Haruka forced me to play the virtual-on game in Yakuza Kiwami 2. I have no idea how I managed, I have no idea how this game works.

Ah, come on! It's not that complicated! As long as you had experience with 3d action games before, or that the emulation on Kiwami 2 was decent (didn't play that one, yet ಥ﹏ಥ)

With luck this game might get a English localization to Nintendo switch or other consoles due to the success of Gundam versus which I think after seeing this gameplay is very reminiscent of virtual on, like if it had a gundam themed paintjob so if it does come to the west would you play it or take a pass?

I don't know for sure, since I never played Gundam versus before, but from what I could see from videos, at least it looks similar. "If it came to the west"? Well, I already got this JP version, so it's enough for me, but I would buy the English version if I haven't played the JP version before.

I love the Switch, but I don’t know why they would port it to Switch for a potential English release when the PS4 is still the most popular console all over the world. Maybe if it were exclusively a Vita release in Japan it’d get a Switch port, but as the PS4 is super successful, porting would just be an additional barrier for localization. But yeah, I really wish this would get localized. I’m nowhere near fluent in Japanese, so I’d miss all the nuances if I just tried to import it.

I imported it, was able to get most of the trophies in it without the language barrier getting in the way. Google Translate is your friend.
