Steamworld Dig 2 theme in the beginning was a warm reminder of how much I enjoyed that game’s soundtrack

My favorite "talking" feature was DEFF "God of War" it was amazing when they would have a moment on the boat or when u explore and then u get interrupted and then once u finish and calm down they would say "well like I was saying..." and continue the story. It was SO GOOOD!

As we come up on the year anniversary of this craziness, thanks again for keeping this podcast chugging along like a well oiled machine. It’s definitely been a bright spot each week. Daytona USA is absolutely a favorite of mine. I didn't know about Daytona 3 (USA Championship) for way too long, its a direct remake of the original Daytona with the same physics, but updated visuals.

Daemon, I have used the powerline adapters and they are decent (and better than WiFi in some cases), and here are my thoughts on it: If you do go this route, make sure to get the ones that also have the ground prong as well (three prong plug vs two prong) - the difference between them is noticeable. They give you reliability, not necessarily speed. When I had them, the gave me a decent, reliable connection while my WiFi would be sometimes faster, sometimes slower, and sometimes poor. That reliability depends on a lot of factors, ranging from whether it's plugged directly into the wall with nothing else plugged in to whether you have high power usage devices/appliances plugged into the same circuit. Lastly, my final advice will be that nothing (not even internet-over-power stuff) is better than a hardline connection, so look for ways to run cables within walls, through ceilings, under floors, through garage, under baseboards, whatever way you can that will still leave your house pleasant to look at - there are plenty of KZfaq videos that will cover this subject. I did with my house and now I can't imagine living any other way.

One cool thing about the channel swap is watching some of these old ign videos. Like entering a time warp.

I love the conversation on arcade brawlers. I have an arcade in my town and I used to go there every day after school and play with my lunch money which would not stretch far. I could finish Turtles, the Simpsons and Double Dragon with 1 credit. Top tip. There's a move you can pull off by pressing jump and attack on all 3 games. Homer on the Simsons does a jumping flurry with his feet. Donatello does a jump swipe with his staff and on double dragon you do an elbow attack. Spam these for the best results.

Same issue here re internet. Im using a power line adapter and it works good enough for office work/Teams, but it may not be robust enough for your needs.

I dont refer to the buttons by their actual names like lt rt lb or rb. For every controller I use, PS5, Xbox or Switch, its the trigger or the shoulders.

TMNT, longtime fan here. I love this teaser for the new game. Bringing back old school vibes, and wild action. Another series that deserves a return.. Golden Axe. Seriously it has been way too long. Totally needs to come back Gauntlet. Another title left in the past. Get four friends, go on an adventure Contra (I am not counting that mess from last year). I heard there was a 4th Contra on DS. But to see it return, plus the music, crazy bosses, levels, and visuals. Marvel vs Capcom 4 (not counting infinite, bleh that was a nightmare) Hand drawn, 3 on 3, crazy roster, and unforgettable music Capcom vs SNK 3

I always love when there is a game that I’m really into and there’s a bunch of background Laura that I get to find and read or watch oddly enough when it comes to listening to things like recorders or whatever I just ignore those. I don’t know why but I will read the entire book an elder scrolls or the Witcher I’ll read all the notes in the last of us and I love it

Speed holes? You mean where you cut a small opening in your wall to run cable? That's what I'll do honestly but everyone's set up in there home is different I understand. If possible use a small spare closet as the server room and run all the cables from there out.

I agree with Tina on the Screen Shot button. Out of everything on Nintendo I like the X,Y and Screen Shot/Video Rec button they did on their controllers.

I posted this on the NVC comment section as well, but it holds true here. It's hard to even recognize this post as a Gamescoop podcast, in the clutter of the channel feed, since most of the other channel uploads follow the same templated title card. Because there is so much content being posted everyday, please bump up the Gamescoop branding on your title card so people visiting the channel just for the podcasts, or newcomers looking just for the podcasts, can find it quickly. I do not want the wonderful IGN podcasts getting lost in the noise.

I loved that Simpson's arcade game as a kid. I still have my Turtles In Time too. There was also a cool Terminator arcade game.

My favorite "lore-building" documents and such are from the Mass Effect trilogy (so wonderfully written) and Fallout 3. Reading the terminals in buildings in Fallout 3 were fascinating. I wanted to examine every little minute detail in that game and get every ounce of lore out of it. The terminals were almost always spot on.

Nice! I use adapters to send internet through the wiring in my house. Video games are in the basement, far from the wireless router. The adapters work great and were MUCH less expensive than what the guy at Best Buy tried to sell me.

I started to read the documents in the beginning of Control but the more I got the more I was overwhelmed and thought I’d read it later. But the documents are pretty important I’m going to play it again on PS5 since I have it now.

If i was creating button names on a controller- Face buttons would be 1234 like fighting games, Triggers, bumpers and stick clicks would be R&L ABC for Action, Bumper & Click, and ‘start & select’ type buttons would probably be +&- like modern Nintendo, not sure on that last one.

I've used a powerline adaptor for years, they work great. I've full on backstory fatigue, I definitely can't be bothered reading a whole bunch of documents for extraneous info on random fictional characters in a game - let me get on with the gameplay!

Daemon either run ethernet cables, or get a WiFi 6 (ax) mesh. Or even better do both (run ethernet cables between the WiFi nodes for wired backbone). Grats on the new home.

What I loved about the gamescoop KZfaq channel is that I wasn't spammed by videos I had no interest in. It was just scoop. I'm not a fan of having to subscribe to this channel and get bombarded all week with videos I dont want in order to not miss an episode of gamescoop.

Game Scoop and NVC are my end-of-week dopamine boosts. The new channel is convenient!

Power Rangers! We got a great fighter with Battle for the Grid, but we haven’t had a great beat-em-up in decades.

The arcade games i would like to see is Nba Hoopz needs a remaster or NBA HangTime, X-Men, Simpsons, NFL Blitz, Hang-On HD, Daytona USA, Road Rash, Sega Rally... Brawlers are not A BAD GENRE ? We need more arcade experiences at home.

Daemon! They did make a new Super Smash TV. Xeno Crisis and it has a rare physical release for the switch and other consoles. The game can actually run on a Sega Mega Drive. It’s great.

Resident evil 5 had an awesome story that was sadly hidden away in document lore. Quantum break had the same problem. Makes a second play through much different and a lot more fun.

Scoop! Big fan, I just have some questions about the channel move that I haven't seen addressed yet. Why do the podcast playlists only have the most recent episodes of each? It was my impression that the entire content of each channel would be put into the playlist so we wouldn't have to go back and forth if we want to watch old episodes. Also, the clutter from all the 7 year old shows is strange. Why not start a new channel? I'm also seeing a ton of people complain that they would have preferred this channel to be exclusively for podcasts, and I'm inclined to agree. Can you guys explain some of your strategy here, and address these common concerns? Thank you for all you do.
