I'm not a big street fighter fan but I'm super hyped for SF6 simply for this single player open world mode. My favorite fighting game of all time is Mortal Kombat Deception and that game had an awesome single player rpg mode in it which I loved. If this new mode in SF6 is anything like that than I'm down.

The Top Gun theme is so wonderful, and the fact that its NES-translation is still as wonderful is just so fascinating to me. The new movie was a 10/10 for me. I loved the original, because my dad loved the original so much. Sadly, he passed away a few months ago and never got the chance to see the new one. But I saw it opening night and I know he would've loved it just as much as me and all of us Top Gun fans around the world. Anyways, great show as always. Game Scoop is part of my weekend rituals and it's one of my favorite parts at that.

I loved combat in final fantasy XV and in Final fantasy VII remake. i love the action take on it, specially on an rpg. really good

Scoop Crew have gotta try RE4 on Quest 2 (or wait for PSVR2). It's such a good way to play the classic game. Also, I'd love to hear their opinions on the new Sonic next week.

I saw an Xbox Series X in a Target as well and someone was buying it. I already have that and the PS5 so I wasn't looking for me but it was cool seeing someone finding it there and getting it.

I almost feel like that NES Top Gun theme is better than the original from the film. I remember listening to it a lot as a kid. (My rather was a pilot, so of course we had Top Gun game and VHS).

i have high hopes for traversal in STRAY. i don't like cats, but one particular shot about traversing the side of a building intrigue me. even if the level design is just a normal urban environment, it will be different from parkour or spiderman. it will be fresh, looking at more grounded but different perspective and way of thinking of cats, to navigate the world as a puzzle platforming challenges.

I mainly played PS4 last gen, but got an Xbox Series X since there were actually available to buy. Been loving it, and totally recommend getting it.

If RE4 remake is a darker genuinely unsettling and brutal take on the game I’m in!!! The original is always there to enjoy so we get to hear Leon ask if everyone’s going to bingo and we get to perv on Ashley and hear Luis comment on the presidents daughters ballistics then suplex cultists! 😂 but remake could be the dark genuinely scary take on the story I do hope it’s dark n doesn’t pull punches, go full on horror. PS Calisto Protocol I’m definitely watching

State of Play was great I am excited for the RE4 remake as the original is one of my favourite videogames of all time. I was debating buying the Oculus quest for RE4 VR though I am glad I waited as the RE4 remake is getting PS VR2 support. 2022/2023 Great start for horror games starting with Callisto Protocol followed by Dead Space and then the RE4 remake.

I want those games resident evil 4 remake and street fighter 6 on all platforms not just on one console the more consoles it goes on the more fun it will be PS5 doesn’t have a lot of storage these games will be on my PS5 I hope xbox series X street fighter 6 will be on my PC

Surprised Insomniac hasn't made, or announced some PSVR titles, they made some Oculus games and I'm puzzled as to why they wouldn't put together a Spider Man or Ratchet & Clank VR title from existing assets.

I'm surprised you guys didn't mention the shear insane amount of single player games in development for Xbox. Telling that person to wait until this Sunday would have probably been the best answer. But on the way they have Hellblade 2, Starfield, Indian Jones, Fable, Avowed, State of Decay 3, Elder Scrolls 6. Those are just the ones announced but by the end of the week i imagine that list is going to be much higher. All of Xbox games will be next generation only from here on out.

I got a series S last holiday I do think purely based on cost of the expansion card that I should have waited for the series x for more storage, I really hope microsoft can significantly cut the price on those soon . I want to get a PS5 when they become available. But the xbox series consoles in my opinion have the best UI of all three consoles (I also have a friend with a ps5 and I hate the UI, you can't organize your apps or games there is no folder system). The xbox series also has a lot of great older games. Microsoft also has been purchasing a lot of studios

that dude wanted exclusives with story driven but xbox games have both mp and sp usually but these are good options hellblade 2 quantum break gears 5 sunset overdrive (kinda) ryse indiana jones pyschonuats 2 sea of thieves has added sp storymodes (things i assume will be single player story focused) project midnight project mara perfect dark avowed fable everwild state of decay 3

I don't think I'd buy an xbox, specially since I care about physical games and xbox discs are not games per se, but installations that require online authentication so that MS allows you to play them.

I think the ps5 has a faster ui and looks sleeker but quick resume on the xsx and having say 8 games on the fly ready to boot up in a few seconds is amazing. But I've had both consoles crash but ps5 I've had to download everything again and start from scratch.....thank god for cloud saves haha. I would say if you want a current gen and want to play alot of games both are great now with the subscription service and if you have never had a sony console ps5 would be amazing with all the first party titles added to ps plus sub

There are two different teams working on FF projects. Creative Business Division 1 is working FF7remake stuff and creative business division III working FF16. Sorta like how Nintendo is set up. So no reason to worry about the scope of FF16 and how far off FF7R 2 is.

Huh... kinda surprised to hear that there are still PS5 shortages in the US. Two months ago I bought my PS5 because it was finally at their real price. Last month I bought another controller and even more places had readily available PS5s (and Series X, too). This is in Argentina were even at their regular price PS5s are still sort of a luxury item for most, so it can be that.

final fantasy has completely ruined summons and magic spells over the past few games, i have no faith in the development of 16, as i did not enjoy 15, 7 remake was a complete slog of a chore, absolutely did not enjoy that game. they haven't done a proper numbered final fantasy well imo, since ff10 and 12. 14 as an mmo is fine, but the rest mainline games since 12 have been atrocious imo.

@@daksans6764 I know that you can play the campaign solo but that is like playing boaderlands or dead island solo they were meant to be 2 to 4 player co op exeperiences definitley not a good recomendation to play by yourself

I can't believe they actually addressed that Xbox vs PlayStation listener mail in the middle of the show. It was clearly a Sony fanboy trying to push the agenda that people are only buying Xbox consoles right now because they are "settling" for them because they cannot find a PlayStation. That fanboy needs to accept that the general public just wants to play the big heavy hitters and aren't nearly as concerned with exclusives. Stop being 12.

@@R17759 The person presented themself as someone who knows enough about gaming to understand that Sony's exclusives in recent years have predominantly been single player games and many of Xbox's exclusives have been more social and leaned heavily on multiplayer, at least to some extent. This person also listens to at least one gaming podcast and is engaged enough that they wrote in to the show. But somehow, at the same time, this person is unaware of one of the most basic and well known aspects of modern console gaming, which is that Sony and Xbox have 99% identical libraries and it has been that way for quite some time. I'm sorry...that is not a person who exists.
