Man, I really loved the days of Sam, Justin, and Jared. But Tina has really killed it on the podcast. I love hearing all of your opinions and points of view. And thank god for 20 questions. I’m so glad Game Scoop invented it.

In reference to "Why are people living in this run-down city" - when discussing Dying Light 2 - it was because in the first game everyone was quarantined - trapped in the city. Then the infection got worse outside the city.. so the wall from the quarantine actually acted as a protective barrier for the residents of the city. It explained that during the beginning of Dying Light 2.. personally, I love the game. The acting isn't near as bad as you made it out to be though. This is the first game in a long time that feels like ti was worth the $60 dollars I paid for it.

I would argue that the PS4 Pro made a lot of PS4 owners buy a 2nd console. And I can see scenarios where there are multiple consoles in the same household. At one point in my house there was a One X in the living room, One S in my daughters room, and One in my sons room.

Dying Light 1 you also start out with a limited moveset and you are pretty weak in combat, however by the end of the game after unlocking various moves, especially the grappling hook you basically become a zombie slaying god! One of the best zombie coop games. Excited for DL 2

Justin said there should be an asterisk for Switch sales because there’s more likely to be multiple Switches in a single home. Uh…. what? If it was more likely for there to be multiple PS4s in one home should the same rule apply? Sales are sales. If anything Nintendo should be commended for driving so many in a household to have their own Switch.

Enjoyed the insight into your personal hobbies and the like! If time (and dough) were limitless, I'd do a ton more traveling/writing, myself -- the latter probably not so well. Funny reality: a couple friends and I wrote cheesy horror short stories in (early) elementary, bound them with 3 ever-trusty staples each, and had moderate success in selling them to our schoolmates for a quarter or so a pop. At one point, we had big plans to take over the world of writing! Welcome to TX, Tina! Hope you avoided this gnarly weather.

The PS1 was not "the sports console". Out of the PS1's top 20 best-selling games, the only sports-related games are GT 1 & 2. It's true though that it took a long time for Playstation to build up its first-party studios and it was third-party games like RE, Tekken, FFVII, Tomb Raider and MGS that were central to the PS1's success.

Reviewers are having the same complaints in DL2 which they had in DL1! I loved the first and in love with 2, it's a little slow at the start but It gets faster and faster and more fun as it goes

Bungie acquisition is definitely for helping with Sony's future live service games. Like you said though, I don't know why they think 10 is a good idea. Bungie should show them that really only 1 game in a genre can occupy that space. No game has come close to dethroning Destiny as a FPS live service, and many have tried. So if they try to get a game for different genres it could work. But I do have to say that Destiny is still going strong! The new expansion this month has over 1,000,000 pre orders, making it the most pre ordered expansion for destiny 2. So it's doing very well still. I think Bungie want to make movies or shows for Destiny so Sony can help them with that

Love the show! How do you all feel COVID has played into all these acquisitions? I understand that we all games more through the pandemic but the long extended delays of games put a big dent in these developers & publishers, one big one being Activision. COVID shut downs have really punched a hole is all companies and the ones that weren’t very fiscally solid, have closed it’s doors or bought up by larger companies. I’d like to hear your guy thoughts.

Here’s the problem you can make a game run on an older platform you know PS5 to PS4 but what happens to features that you would normally only put on an exclusive current generation platform do they fall away to the wayside do you not see those features in the last generation iteration of that game. What is it going to look like when people upgrade from one system to the next will it cost you $10 to upgrade every game individually

10 live service games in 4 years are not as unfathomable as people are making it out to be. Of the games we already know Sony has or in the pipeline Ghost of Tsushima Legends can easily be expanded into a live service game, Gran Turismo 7 could easily introduce racing seasons with new cars, tracks and challenges and Factions is all but assured to be live service already. Then there is the rumored Twisted Metal reboot which, again, would be a perfect match for the live service mode. The multiplayer game Insomniac is working on could turn out to be a Resistance sequel/reboot and Guerilla could always put out another Killzone if they are not already working on it. Finally they have the exclusive multiplayer ip Deviation is making for them. There, those alone make 7 live service games only one of which would be a completely new ip.

When do get an update on the actual Lego build ?😄

I’m normally so terrible at Video Game 20 Questions but I knew it was Chibi Robo once it was revealed to be a dormant GameCube franchise!

I have 3 PlayStation ( 1 PS5 and 2 PS4's ) in our house and only one switch. I actually have a third PS4 that I let someone borrow that I need to get back soon. Just saying to some who think multiple PlayStation house holds are rare and they might be, but I am not wealthy by any means I'm a single father and I'm pretty much always broke just trying to make it week to week. And if I could find another PS5 by my sons birthday on the 13th I would probably get another one, but I am obviously ridiculous lol.

As someone who plays destiny on a daily basis, there is nothing player friendly about it. There are a lot of predatory systems in the game that encourage the player to spend money on microtransactions. Unfortunately, I still like the game as it has some of the best shooting in any game.

21:53 I think the Switch will outsell the PS4, but it might take more time than we thought because Sony still makes PS4 consoles. They even recently bumped PS4 production because they can't make enough PS5. 22:57 The Wii was a mainstream cultural phenomenon and eventually fell completely flat because of that. The Switch is a gamers' cultural phenomenon, hence why it's stronger. Its core audience likes it, gamers didn't like the Wii. 22:45 Daemon should definitely play Legends Arceus lol It's a really good game, pokémon or not.

I absolutely loved original Dying Light's parkour system - just like Spider-Man's swinging through a city, general parkour is fun and almost therapeutic for me - it's nice to just get lost in the flow of things like I imagine people who like to dance likely do (I wouldn't know, I don't like dancing). Because of this, I wanted to buy Dying Light, but there was one important key aspect I wanted out of the game, and that is the ability to play my own music via PS4 while playing the game. PS4 is capable of doing this, however DEVS HAVE THE ABILITY TO FORCEFULLY DISABLE THIS IN SOME GAMES! Can you believe it? Apparently the devs think their music is so superior that no one should be listening to anything while playing this game other than what they created for you. That ^ right there is why I didn't buy the game. Now that I play mostly on PC, it doesn't even matter, I could just play it on PC and turn on my music and they won't be able to block it, but they did leave a sour taste in my mouth because of it, so I don't know if I'll be buying it.

Wow when they got to talking about is there games to buy on PS5 for exclusivity they said no. lol Here is something they seem to not understand. There is a pandemic, and there are a few games out there to get for it. We get it. If you are into JRPG's then there is tons of games for it that are not on Xbox but are on pc. If you only game on console and play mostly JRPG's or visual novels then yes get a ps5. PS5 may not have a lot of games yet, but because this February and March is coming up has a ton of first party Sony games, then it will be worth the upgrade for the games performance. Sony usually does not port their first party games to other systems but due to the pandemic, this is just the way that it is. I tried to watch the show but how you only mention main stream games really upsets me. Talk about 3rd party exclusives, talk about more niche games (including JRPG's and and Visual Novels which include otome ) , and stop being one sided to only main stream games.

Love this show, favorite podcast. But it's really starting to get cringeworthy how Justin can't finish a sentence without using the words "like," "you know," "umm," and "right?" Sometimes using said words multiple times in one sentence. For something we listen to, especially on apple podcast, it is really noticeable. I understand the format, you got to speak fast, but wow, very noticeable. He's not as bad as Tom Marks, but getting pretty close.
