The Light Pedal changes the game of spring reverb by giving you the choice to blend classic spring (transducer) technology with a modern method to translate and manipulate spring vibrations-- optical sensors. Similar to pickups on a guitar, pairs of infra-red sensors are placed along various locations of the springs, transmitting different tones and resonant frequencies for a wider tone range. Not stopping there, you get 6 effects on the Light Pedal with a correlating CTRL knob to adjust unique parameters.
The first 3 effects utilize the optical sensors. Choose various reverb timbres by selecting Optical sensor combinations, Sweep the sensors in patterns for unheard of reverb/modulation, and even dial in Tremolo with sensors automatically shutting off and on.
The second group deal with the tank itself, giving you organic Reflecting echo by feeding the reverb signal back into itself, overloading the transducers to create resonating overtones and Feedback or dial in specific Harmonics and octaves above or below like a LoFi shimmer effect!
There’s much more within the controls such as separate mix levels for the Dry, Spring and Optical signals, reverb Tone and spring tank Drive for extra bounce and grit. Plus, the addition of a Gate that can either trim the reverb tails or duck the attack while you play.
Leaving no stone unturned, Gamechanger Audio is fully aware of the sensitive nature of a spring tank and that’s why their shock sensor, powered by an accelerometer, lets you fully embrace the splash or silence the wet signal during heavy impact with two settings. Plus, the expression input lets you assign one of the Drive, Tone, Gate, CTRL, Spring or Optical levels to a pedal for smooth transitions and hands-free control.

This has got to be the coolest reverb pedal I've ever come across, bar none. Have to get my hands on this one, the ability to mix and match optical and spring reverb looks like it could allow for an infinite amount of textures.

Ah man, the Beetle Kill guitar sounding absolutely stellar and that Gristlemaster is quite something, too. (Love the way you used the voicing switch to push it to the top of the mix in the intro jam.) Also, props to Gamechanger Audio for coming out with another uniquely spectacular pedal!

It really felt like you were nerding out on this pedal, like you were just giddy with it at points haha. Honestly I'm pretty overcome by how innovative it is too. Can totally hear your passion in your playing! On a completely different note, how did you learn to play with your fingers like that? I'd love to play like that. I've always been the most impressed by that (among many other elements of your playing!) I mean at points it sounds EXACTLY like a pick -- do you use your fingernails?

I see a lot asking for stereo, that would require two separate tanks so quite like two separate pedals. Might be a pricey endeavor but yes putting in a mixer send would be amazing!

Hi, thanks for this video ! I was thinking of taking the Element from Anadounds! But now that there is this Light Pedal, it's hard to make a choice! The Gamechanger, for the same price, seems to have a lot more possibilities! Even if these possibilities are not all interesting for me! In the Harmonic mode, the Control selects the frequency up/down while the overall reverb+harmony effects is adjusted by the Spring mix level. The octaves are part of the reverb signal.

well, must admit, the thing is nice, but having Source Audio's Ventris and EHX's Super Pulsar makes it not worth it. Super Pulsar provides way too flexible tremolo and Ventris also does a lot different reverbs including e-dome with 2 DSPs and great/best spring emulation (it even has its own tremolo algo). The whole set is 500$ used, both pedals are stereo for two combos.

I've listened to 2 official demos, the optical light technology is a seeiously great idea that someone is yet to exploit in a better way. It has seriously serious potential but I do not seen that here

So whose gonna design a pedal that’s got a screen ui like an IPhone that lets you set parameters w your finger on an x y axis vs knobs? They kinda got this w the sensors showing visually what the knobs are doing.
