To answer the title, Dan fits the classic tropes of an idol, the classic singer-model type. BUT, Arin is much more the modern idol, more outward personality, comedian and got the attitude for entertainment. Arin would be more popular off stage, Dan would be popular on stage.

Yoroshiku is a super complicated phrase but basically it's a way to show respect. In this context it means that you're acknowledging that both of you are going into this endeavor with the trust/understanding that you'll both take the upcoming shared activity seriously. I always kind of thought of it as "I' fully trust you to do your best, as I too will be doing my best".
