Shrek 2 on the Gamecube was SOLID. My brothers and I played it for hours. Some of the stuff was actually difficult. I replayed it a few years ago and it still holds up. If I remember correctly, they used the actual cast too.

Was probably the best Shrek game out there even though my sister and I played tons of Shrek Super Party too, but that one definitely had some jank to it. I think the Shrek 2 games were so good because they finally had a budget and a following with the success of the first two movies lol.

@@Dilo22 People will speedrun any game. In fact, speed running janky bad games like this tend to be way more entertaining for both the runner and viewer. I mean think about it. Speed running is about finding exploits and taking shortcuts the developers never intended. So the worse the game the is, the more opportunities there are to break it open in every way imaginable due to shoddy programming, aka a speedrunners paradise.

I can now confirm, after researching, that which I recognized almost immediately: the voice actor for shrek in this is also the voice actor for Alvor the blacksmith in Skyrim, Hadvar’s father. The ‘within reason’ guy.

You can move the captions around the screen if you wish - I think you can also change the text color, font , and opacity in the video settings for subtitles, if that helps.

Although when changing the size of big blocks of text it just makes the same block of text more difficult to see (an issue if you're hearing AND vision impaired, and/or depending on your device), if that makes any sense. I played this a ton as a kid. Got all the cups and had some insane shortcuts, including one that skipped half a lap each lap on one of the final tracks. I loved this game. No idea why I loved this game but I did, and nobody can take that away from me.
