While people love the action sequences and want to see more heads chopped off for entertainment, it's the human interactions in parts like One Last Drink that really makes GoT shine for me. These characters reflecting back on almost a decade of their story arcs is really rewarding as a viewer.
@tristantang40065 жыл бұрын
GRM Adrian same those dialogues within the characters from 8 seasons are my favorites. Dialogues between Cersei, Tywin, Tyrion, Olenna, Bealish, Varys, to name the few. I just love it.
@timothyw985 жыл бұрын
Shame we didn't get enough interactions in ep2, no Tyrion and Varys, Sansa and Arya, Jon and Arya, Tyrion and Sansa. I was pecially dissapointed we didn't have more interaction between the Stark siblings just be siblings and joking around. It could be their last night and we don't get to see them just being a family. I would've like to have seen Arya in the Sansa and Daenerys scene acting like a body guard with a cold look on her face. Just think it develops on what she said to Jon about protecting our family, aside from showing how she feels about Daenerys.
@tristantang40065 жыл бұрын
Timothy Wilkes owww i love your idea on more of the Starks siblings interactions. You're right, i hope we were able to see those kind of scene from the stark kids, like the scene from the fire place from brienne jaime tyrion etc. It would've been so lovely
@timothyw985 жыл бұрын
Maybe in the next episode we can have characters reacting to characters skills like Gendry wanting to protect Arya and hold her back when she fights because he might still struggle with the knowledge she's changed. Arya: Gendry, get my sister and the civillans to safety I got this go. Gendry: Arya don't be so bloody stupid you cant handle the... Hound: The bitch has got this, take it from me you pilock.

Agreed, one of the best episodes ever IMO. No fights, no big disagreements, just people contemplating during what could be their last day on earth (at least not as white walkers). I felt so melancholic afterwards because it's probably the last time we saw a lot of the characters

I'd wondered a little before if Winterfell had grown a bit, but now there was an army pouring into what was once a couple of towers and a wall. I have to say that for zero action, this was an amazing episode. The exposition was brilliant, and everything seemed so real. I teared up a bit at some of the gestures of the characters. Our little bear is so tough and solid. Theon returns to honor his original vows. Jaime honors Brienne. Jorah gives honor to Tyrion. there are so many little gestures that I am sure if I wrote 3 paragraphs I would miss something. So much humanity. I have no fear of everlasting winter with all of these stout hearts guarding life itself.
