Hey everyone, decided to make this video on my thoughts for gameplay changes before the upcoming patch. There’s definitely going to be a difference of opinions but if you’re going to give your take on something, please watch the video because a lot of comments are speaking on things I covered. Push block could be like mk11 armor break where they gave it to spawn first and then gave it to everyone later

Upblock is not anti-air only. I really dont want some overheads in this game to be punished less hard.

Why does chip damage kill? How come no one is concerned about this. Also ,i know people hate sub zero but damn he needs help. He's slow, has alot of gaps, he's unsafe , has shit damage, no real way to open people up, His projectiles are ass, his clone is borderline useless with shitty hitbox

i would honestly combine up block and the uppercut launch mechanic instead of having the separate wouldn’t be as strong as flawless block launching but still you need to input the up block on read and chip can’t kill is the only thing i would change mechanically

Another big thing I noticed back the camera slightly rotation whenever a Kameo was called. It makes it look and feel more dynamic.

Nah people complaining about upblock being too strong just rely too heavily on jump ins. Stop jumping and play neutral

As rain you can do far geysers and depending on your kameo you get a full combo punish.

I use the D2 combo mechanic with Mileena as a anti air because upblock is a risk and her other anti airs [S1 and S4] only work when the opp jumps from a certain range. Id be sad if they took the D2 launcher mechanic out of the game

personally im hoping it’ll be a decent size patch w/ some good buffs for most characters.💯‼️

The up block should be able to full combo punishable if u bait it correctly with an empty jump punch and not just a grab punish cuz the reward isnt worth that much

Idk if you noticed but in the trailer when lao did his wake up he lost armor after the first hit and it’s why he got hit by the bomb. I’m pretty sure that move had armor on both hits.

10:50 Xombat you know what mechanic should be brought back to counter up block? Short jump. Maybe alot of y'all didn't like it but man I used it to trick people and made them whiff so I could punish. Imagine the mind games you could do for someone up blocking with short jump

Down 2 meter burn also works on jump in’s if you kounter or punish, but the mechanic is still butt juice definitely needs a buff

D2 meterburn should just not have uppercut scaling and instead have regular scaling. It also works vs overheads and on counterhit, so its another anti air option. A 2 bar 14% should be one of the highest combo damage starters but instead its one of the lowest

Upblock is fine we need ways to defend against high tier characters like raiden smokes over head subs divekit I like having upblock option to punish I like that there’s these defensive options everyone can use it

I like the changes. Personally for darrius, i would change that fwd kameo will come out quicker so that most of the kast have a way of comboing into it, neutral kameo -> back kameo for the punch should cost one bar or grant the invincibility change same as d2 mb, and each of the enders of his neutral kameo should give him different buffs on hit. One could give his kameo a fast cooldown, regain half the kameo meter on a normal cooldown, or/and slower cooldown but allows one free usage of kameo no cost.

OMG THANK YOU FOR REMINDING THE WORLD(probably even the devs too) ABOUT THE D2 JUMP CANCEL MECHANIC Its been driving me crazy seeing how no one is talking about about how useless the mechanic is. Tho, it probably makes sense, in an ironic sense, how no one talks about the mechanic given how useless it is... Idk, heres an idea for a buff/rework. Let it still cost the same meter and let it still do the atrocious damage scaling, BUT, it becomes an unbreakable combo now. Just make it worth SOMETHING lol

Ok with omni man i can use my fatabel literally after they use theirs like mid animation just because he goes from ur back and hit u crazy tbh And for up block its mostly against someone like peacmaker who has a 42 1+3 which is unblockable without it

I’m telling you. The buff cyrax needs is to be able to lessen the start up of his net so more characters can combo into it. Only characters like quan chi and peace maker can combo into it. If more characters and combo into his net,he’d be used more

I really hope Ermac and his patch can begin the climb back for MK1. Been playing SF6 which is an incredible game, but my heart has always been in MK.

Just on a selfish note, I want alien (fave dlc character), mk9 style challenge towers, actual krypt, actual good skins instead of these low effort garbage. For the gameplay literally just make a netcode that doesnt result in lag for many games. I also dont like kameos being used solely for making unsafe moves safe. This seems like the devs were really clueless of how to make kameos actually useful so they defaulted to this. Some characters i literally never enjoy fighting: -sento -johnny cage Every other character i atleast have fun fighting. But i hate when a character forces me to play my very best, 100% focus to survive and beat them, while they only have to muscle memory some staggers for an easy win.

Up block was the stupidest thing they ever put in the game and now its being talked about? Where was the up block mechanic in mkx? People using it thinking there good and I shake my head. Thats why its fun to do empty jump grabs.

Some characters are definitely in need of some new inputs or 50/50s sub strings are so dull now they should add his command grab back.raiden is broken as hell u get caught by that overhead lightning so randomly plus him with Kano if u try to punish his tele u get hit with knives. Idk how but the viltrumites stance needs to nerfed getting full comboed for trying to play aggressive and having everything get weaved is bogus.

In my opinion, they can do these following changes as well: 1.They should remove chip damge at all, because in this game's insane 50/50 situations, if you guess right, you're still being chipped and that's so cheap because nothing is a risk for the opponent. 2.They can make kameos usable once instead of twice but also they can adjust the cooldown to make up for it, so we can use kameos faster but not twice, and you know tanya goro and raiden kano and Scorpio stryker are get abusing a lot so this would be a great change. 3. They can also make crouching pokes not special cancelable at all, this could fix a lot of things. sorry if i write something incorrect, because English is not my native language. NICE video by the way.

The down 2mb should be one bar but other than that , How about not changing anything and the non playing people actually practice more and learn the game to become better 🤔 the only thing that needs changing is for the trash people to stop crying during the matches in the microphone when they are losing ! Finally someone else but TM says upblock should be changed. I kinda hate that i am using 4 different antiair on reaction (d1 s2 s1 d2) as Ashrah and people just hold block whenever they see anything in the air and even if i read it completely 17-19% is highest i can get and if i miss it even slighltly i am getting full combo punish because they KNOW you are going to grab them so not much of a read there. And please don't tell me jump is skipping footsies in the game when you can literally do -30 move and make it + or even punish you for trying to punish it because of kameo system (which is fine but it'sfar farworse than jump)

With all respect, 1st one is literally a skill issue. If the Scorpion does raw fatal blow, you can either dash in, block, dash into b2 to punish it as Rain. If he does it far, you can backdash to make it whiff and then punish it with a dash. If Rain does the fb far enough, you can backdash or jump up. If he does it close, then you can dash in with block. I tried with {almost} all ranges and you can punish the raw Rain fb with 21 as Scorpion everytime. So yeah, atleast these two just need to be labbed, something not very common for us, nrs players though
