I got Rellana first try Messmer was the first boss in the DLC to take more than 4 tries for me, taking 10 attempts because I couldn't consistently avoid most of his attacks or find openings to heal without getting hit again

This is one of the stupidest comment I've ever seen. You must like game that spoon feed you everything with 100 markers on map. You'll not understand the fun in exploring and figuring out things. you don't have to be on defense 99% time. There are different playstyles, different weapons, game literally gives you tons of things to make fight easier, like you can summon npc and mimic tear at same time in most of the boss fights. 99% of the Mobs are fine, if you fight 10 v1 against a mob of course you're gonna get your ass kicked. I fought messmer on 11-12 scadutree and lvl 158 something, literally beat him in 5-6 tries you can jump r1 on so many of his moves. Most of the people fighting the boss in this video are under level, don't blame game for people's stubbornness. why would anyone fight a boss that's 2 shot killing you in a open world game? You don't like something doesn't mean it's bad. This game is not like generic hit the boss like hitting a wall and he'll die. you need to learn from failures. Exploring part I agree on, dlc has some empty areas, doesn't make game bad.

No, I started on atari games, then Nintendo, Sega, etc. Most of said games are infinitely harder than anything that is created today. In order for souls games to meet the level of difficulty of old games they would have to start you off with 3-5 lives, you lose a life every time you die and get 1 life whenever you beat a boss. Then, if you lose all your lives, you start the whole game back over. So no, difficulty is not the problem lol. The problem is everything else I said, which you failed to mention. Maps that take you back to where you started, waste of time. Basically nonexistent storytelling, which is why I quit elden ring. Did everything there was to do in the open world according to the trophies just needed to beat the 2 final story bosses but since they devs failed at storytelling I just quit because it would've just been " well, guess that's it". Mobs are boring because they're easy, bosses are purposely overpowered to make up for this and so the game doesn't feel too easy overrall, why else would the challenge spike increase so drastically. Combat against bosses does put you on the defensive 99% of the time if you want to check this fact then you can watch any streamer and see how long they spend dodging compared to attacking. It also takes away the "my turn moment" like I said, so I can do 1 maybe 2 lazily animated attacks. Again, you can watch any streamer for this fact. I'm not a fan of the waiting game. When I play and expect to do work on some bad guys, not patiently waiting for them to finish their top tier combo so I can do an attack that feels like it wasn't even worth the wait in the first place. The only reason I can think of that people play it is because life for them has become so easy and unfulfilling that they have turned to their hobby to get some sense of challenge and accomplishment.

Bosses in dlc have cool combos, multiple phases in one health bar that adds new moves, you're just straight up laying. Literally 1-2 bosses have insane attacks which feel unavoidable(but they are not). Mobs are easy? Have you even played the game? You are so wrong. There are many mobs that are very strong like the fire knights in shadow keep, those beast like enemies with ice, lightning and wind variant in final boss area and many more. And I literally said the map has empty spaces and btw not everything goes to the same exit, your whole big ass paragraph alone explains you haven't played the elden ring. And streamers you're talking about, most of them never played souls games, they are forced to fight the boss even if they are under level most of the time because of the pressure from chat. Waiting game? It's core gameplay of these kinds of games, where you dodge attacks and hit the boss, of course there's is gonna be combo. What do you want? Boss attack once and then you attack once? Like I said if you want to hit the wall until it dies play something else this game is not for you. Today's games are just full of micro-transactions and pay to win bullshit. That's why people are playing games like the elden ring. You're talking about people's lives being "easy" or they can't achieve anything in life based on a game they play? You're talking like a 14 year old teenager brother.

Actually, I said precisely the opposite and that the player has no combos, which again is one of the biggest problems. Maybe the problem is your reading and comprehension skills. Have I ever played the game? Yes, obviously, or I wouldn't even bother talking about how bad I think it is lol. Elden ring is an open map of course it doesn't loop. I was obviously referring to other titles such as demon souls, bloodborne, ect lol. Again, check your comprehension skills. Your entire paragraph about chat pressure is a cop out, there's plenty of streamers who kick people who tell them how to play because it takes away the fun for the streamer, so there goes that. You then admit it's a waiting game like I said. I expect the boss to do their combo. I dodge,dip, duck, dive and doge my way through it and then light the boss up with my own combo like every other badass game in history that still gets talked about and played even 20 years later. 1 simple fix, allow the player the bosses combos after defeating the boss. Then, allow to chain different combos together depending on which boss you're fighting. By the end of the game the player should feel like the new final boss, I've never felt that with souls games because the adrenaline injecting combat just isn't there. Lastly, again your reading and comprehension skills betray you. Them playing the game has nothing to do with their ability to achieve. Life's too easy, due to many factors, so they get their sense of achievement and challenge from playing games that are considered more difficult to compensate instead of going out in the world and finding new challenges. This is all common knowledge.
