@Jesse__H 4 жыл бұрын
@Michael O Callaghan I'd be interested to hear your corrections of those phrases! I have my MA in English lit and I teach English for a living. Of course, that doesn't mean I'm infallible, but I don't see anything particularly wrong with the grammar in that comment. Some diction changes, like "totally incorrect" instead of "totally wrong," but that's it, and that's more of a stylistic choice. Since we're now defensively picking apart each other's youtube comments I will mention that periods always go _inside_ quotation marks. 👉😉👉 Of course that's not a big deal, none of this is (which was the point of my first comment btw).

When I first saw the footage for "Super Spyhunter" I thought, "these are pretty crappy graphics for a Super Nintendo." When I realized it was NES, my jaw hit the floor. That scrolling speed and smooth sprite movement with no slow-down, along with sprite warping effects. I didn't know the NES could pull all that off.

I played the arcade version of Two Crude Dudes on this Data East collection game on the Wii with my niece. We played through through the whole game since we had infinite continues and such. Anyway, when we made it to the spider boss and it grabbed me and took me up off screen. When the attack was done, my poor character fell to the ground as a pile of bones. When we saw that, we both screamed 'HOLY SHIT!!!' at the same time. Ugh, what a day!

Another fun fact about Growl. The giant centipede from the ending is from the Darius games, of all things. And the name of the poacher's organization is the same as the name of the evil aliens in Darius. Belser Animal Protection Organization vs Belser Army. Why Taito decided to tie a beat-em-up about saving animals from poachers, to their shoot-em-up series about blowing up evil aliens in space, the world may never know.

Nice skit. Only thing missing was the sound of Atari 2600 PAC Man in the background, which seems to be the default “generic video game noise” go to.

Dragon fighter is definitely a game I over looked for my NES mini. It seems it came out two years earlier in Japan, as they usually did back then, and that boxart..

Remember loving two crude dudes the one time I played it in arcade here in Wales, didn't play it again until 2 years back when I got a Pandora, didn't know it had different name so was pleasantly surprised to realise that crude busters was same game
