I have Syberia 1 and 2, both on PS2 and in a PS3 collection bundle. I have yet to actually play them, but from what I have seen I love the atmosphere, the steampunk-ish feel, and the old-school point-n-click puzzles. I want to play them soon, and 3 also looks likes it's gonna be an amazing follow-up.

I played Syberia 1 and 2. I'm exited to play Syberia 3! :D

I love the game! It represents everything Syberia is about - very strong story, stunning visuals, characters, variety of gameplay, including a lot of brand new and epic moments to the series and to the genre! Adventure games as a genre are almost extinct, and Syberia 3 brings back what real adventure is all about, just like before! The game is officially dubbed on French and yes there are problems with the sync in other languages, and more precisely in English, but still that doesn't bother me, after spending two hours in the game, you get used to the voice of Olga and you don't really mind the outsync, that was actually fixed in the first patch of the game! The camera angles were also fixed in the patch, and a lot of new fixes are coming in the 2nd patch! Syberia 3 is truely the best adventure game currently out now, brining the slowly extinct adventure genre back on track! It is the only game in years I've spent 40+ hours, replaying, hunting all achievements, and keep replaying! A true joy to experience!

Syberia 1 and 2 are indeed great, and I will argue that they are still holding up to today. But this trailer is bad. The 2 first games had excelent voice acting and though you could only see facial animations in CGI cutscenes, they were good. One other thing is that, though syberia was not grounded to reality, it didn't feel over the top, though I understand this might be subjective.

Nostalgia glasses from the older folks, or younger folks who haven't played the first two games. Compare the graphics and animations in syberia 2 with doom 3 which came out the same year and you will see that it wasn't top of the line then, either. It's the gameplay, story and world building that made it a cult classic, not the graphics or voice acting. Kate Walker is being voiced by the same voice actress that did 1 and 2, and they're using at least a couple more of the same voices used in 1 and 2.

One would argue that voice acting is kinda important for such a game.

Yeah games like this usually rely heavily on narrative voice-overs like the first 2 games, the longest journey/dreamfall and grim fandango :)

I believe it's a combination of voice acting and facial expressions, that put the game straight into the "uncanny valley", they should've gone to a more stylized version or make it like the previous ones where you couldn't see the characters' faces.

Worst? Oh you have not lived back in the past have you? Even just listen to the voices in the legend of kay I think it was and you'll hear what bad voice acting is yet its still a cult classic and loved by many yet noone talks about its voices for some reason.

Probably just kids who haven't played the original series and don't understand that the game's enjoyment goes well beyond voice and graphics. I was replaying these games the other day and even with the aspect ratio not doing well on a modern wide screen and talking mouths looking like wobbling black blobs it did not affect my enjoyment one bit.

nope, home consoles and pc. Not that voice acting is limited hardware wise on a phone.

And there's that question i've been asking about this series since i first found out about it back on the xbox360. To be honest it's most likely a staple for the series at this point.

Well, it's not about the looks, it's mostly for the story and art style. Also, the soundtrack! I played the first two when I was 13 and announcement of 3rd actually got me excited. So, yeah maybe it is most awaited game for me in 2017.

I've been waiting this for 13 years. Gotta admit tho it looks bad.
