Thanks a bunch for the review. I wanted to check this game out now I can decided to buy or not. I love Deadzone as well and I totally agree with your opinion on Dz vs. Kt, I have not found a skirmish game more streamlined than Dz.

How are the mutant animals done? Could they be used for Traveller Aslan and Vargr? Does it work just as well with 15mm?

I have a question for you. I picked up song of blades and heroes because the the vids I watched about it made it look pretty interesting, plus it was a cheap set of wargame rules so I figured wth, buy it. It's uhm not exactly what I might call well edited. In comparison to some other wargames I've read and honestly I found it a bit cumbersome to navigate the book. Is mutants and deathray guns any better?

No, it's not any better--in fact, I think Song of Blades and Heroes is better.
