Gamo MP9 First Look And First Shots

I finally get my hands on a Gamo MP9 airgun. My first airgun purchase in about 35 years!
This is a very well executed replica of the Brügger & Thomet MP9 sub-machine gun. This is .177 calibre and is CO2 operated. This is the first CO2 airgun I have had and it helps to read the instructions before trying to insert the gas canister!! It has a double ended 8 round rotary type magazine.
I give you a look at the gun then take it down into my garage where I have a bit of a shooting range. As I live in an urban environment it is difficult for me to shoot outside. Shame!

Thanks alot great review , you remind me of my DAD so much , loved the GAT PISTOL in the 1970"s we all owned one we used to shoot each other with it , so shit it would bounce off you , the other rifles I owned were BSA , WEBLOY , I HAD A BOW TOO ,

It's ashame the mag isn't the mag, it'd be nicer to see those mags on most airguns actually be used. It'd also be nice to see a lot of these spring rifles that look like they'd be good in co2 or PCP to be made or replicated for those platforms

I have this but with a long barrel, After a few months of using it, pellets kept getting stuck in the barrel. With a fresh co2 cartridge I could shoot 3 pellets before they stop coming out. Any idea why?

I had an early version of the 'GAT' air pistol, from back in 1978. Didn't rate it much. The air guns you can get today are far superior. I had 10 darts and shot 9 of them into my arm. It was after my Dad died of Colon Cancer. I tried to do all 10 darts but passed out from blood loss/shock. Isn't it strange what we do to ourselves in grief ?

+Raymond Williams Hello Raymond. Thank you for your comment. I lost my Father last November. He died of Parkinsons decease. I got my Gat in the mid 1970s sometime. As you say they were a bit crude. This is my first CO2 powered airgun and now I want another! Thanks for watching.

How can this be in full black with current U.K. gun safety laws? Also, do you need a license nowadays to buy both BB & air/gas guns?

No licence required as far as I know at the moment. I had to provide my name and address at point of purchase. The law in the UK is an ass! Airsoft guns need to coloured unless you can prove you go to an airsoft group, a bit like paintball groups, but air pistols and rifles can look as realistic as possible without the need for colours. This is all current and may change in the future if snowflakes take charge. Thanks for watching my reviews 👍👍👍

6mm plastic BB guns have to be two tone by law but the more Lethal .177 (4.5 steel BB) guns can be full black. Basically the law doesn't make sense

@@brandonalan4181 it's because these Airguns are classified as firearms (not requiring FAC) in the UK, so fall under firearms laws as opposed to being imitation firearms as Airsoft are classified.

Without going into detail with Airsoft, I'll just explain why the law seems backwards. An airgun like the one in this video is a (non FAC) firearm, so you are not allowed to take/use it in public (certain limitations/exceptions) and you are not allowed to shoot people with it as it can cause serious harm. If you are stopped with one, you may face firearms charges. With imitation/airsoft, you are technically allowed to take/use them in public as they are classed as a toy, and you are allowed to shoot people with them as they will not cause serious harm. However, because they look realistic, they need to be two-tone so people can recognise that they are 'toys'. That being said, you can own an airsoft gun which is not two-tone, however you need to have a valid reason for owning one, such as legitimately playing airsoft, and also be able to prove this (UKARA/memberships etc). The reasoning is that you'd be told and expected to understand that you can't run around the streets with it as it looks real, and you'd be trusted to only use them at private/authorised sites. So in a nutshell: -You simply can't use an airgun in public regardless, so there's no need for additional rules. -You can use an airsoft in public, but due to them looking realistic, there needs to be additional rules.

It's an authority clampdown by those in power, but sure, you blame who the media tells you to. Sad lad. Couldn't even operate a Co2 gun when you made this video & you're calling others snowflakes? ASG do one which can switch to full auto, however I'm not sure if it is available in the UK.

do not be a plonker like me, the first time I fired that dank thing I did not have a fore grip and being eager I took a shot at a rat,but unfortunately my bloody finger was in the way, believe me the pellet went right through my finger,luckily it missed the bone, that was three weeks ago and my finger is still numb.
