There’s nothing like a spring camping trip right as the ice starts to disappear off the lakes. A lot of my best memories from camping are around this time of year. From helping save a fawn falling through the ice to watching a whole bay of ice needles get pushed across the rock point of my site by the wind and shatter with an unworldly sound. I know a lot of people stay home this time of year because of the temperatures but it’s worth it to brave the cold nights for the experiences.
