I think, the word "Kheer" is originated from Hindi/Sanskrit word " KSHEER "......from ancient pronounciation.........it is not KHEER (Milk rice)....instead " KSHEER BHAWANI".....please check Wikipedia. Jai Mata KSHEER BHAWANI
