Alright, i'm not one to go through theories and such but here's some stuff that i do know.. A while ago Kang Daniel took a break because of symptoms of depression and anxiety. Recently, he stated in an interview that the hateful comments he received would take a toll on his mindset. "A word like 'Daniel is ugly' .. That makes me think.. Am i? Well, that means that i should just die" That's what he said. The whole video and song in general is a whole lot to digest, but just knowing certain things he may be referencing and the stuff he's gone through really just makes it almost chilling. All that being said, this comeback was literally so incredible and i LOVE it.

He wrote this song when he took a break because of depression and anxiety. The music video shows him fighting with his demons, which is a reference to him fighting his inner thoughts. And the cameras are the media. His hate comments and how the comments would effect his view of himself. Also if you look closely the people in the video didnt have faces. But he also told his fans that they dont need to worry because he is fine now.

I felt pretty emotional when I listened to this song. As a fan of him from produce, i’ve always tried to keep up with what he’s up to and when he took a break for his depression and anxiety that really broke my heart. I definitely feel like this music video/song was probably really personal for him. This is probably one of my favorite tracks from him.

It's like he is afraid of his demons so he can't hide but at the same time he knows that they are part of him and he has a fear of become just one and lose to them. He paid attention to everything, the stage it's like an eye, the masks showing just the eyes, the cut, the red eye.

Without knowing Daniel’s history, you still hit the marks about dark concepts of fighting inner thoughts, sleep paralysis, anxiety, depression and pointing cameras representing being in the pubic eyes/scrutiny. Love this song lol he doesn't make bad music at all. I also like how through the song and the video I was able to feel the emotion of what he was trying to present. I also love how the song made me feel like anxious at some point when watching the video. The editing and music video as a whole 10/10.

I was gonna live a comment halfway throught the end about Tokyo Ghoul (TG) but then you took it out from my mouth... I love how he exposes the different perspective of paranoia : The whole picture goes from being a nightmare to being the reality through his eyes and then Him being his own nightmare at the end. TG is kinda like that too but in a extrem way yet the feel of it is there for me, it's like showing the progression of paranoia until you unconsciously become toxic to yourself, broken from within until loosing yourself to it. Idk whh but the ending pic being that red eye scared/tatooed, it reminded me of Kaneki's transformation into a ghoul). That's sooo cool!

I saw one of the BTS for this music video and he spoke about The many hate comments that he receives daily. He said people were calling him ugly so much he started to not even look at himself in the mirror. The hate on this boy makes no sense. He really bothers no one.

He said he’s much better now & wanted to share the message that “life is too short to hate”. Imo, the MV shows how external hate from the public can hurt an individual, but one’s worst enemy is one’s self. Anyway, thank you so much for reacting to Paranoia. Really enjoyed your reaction! :)

Here's what he had to say about the meaning of the song I think it's important to read cuz it's such a bop but also it's so gripping when you know the meaning: The singer also opened up about the hiatus he took due to mental and physical health issues. “I had depression and panic disorder the year before last,” he said. “I lost my drive for life. I lost my appetite and couldn’t sleep well, and it felt like I was living just not to die. I had no sense of purpose. It felt like I had become an animal rather than a human.” He continued, “I even thought that the work I was doing wasn’t right for me and that I should quit. I listened to a lot of music during that time, and when I saw other singers performing, I thought, ‘I want to stand on stage’ and felt a renewed passion. My new song ‘PARANOIA’ is very dark. I just wrote about the feelings that I had experienced during that time.”

Awww thanks for this video! Just wanna share this with you. Kang Daniel wrote this song based on his past experience during his hiatus. Paranoia is one of the serious mental health problems, where you face anxiety, and always feel like people keep watching you and try to get out of you. Basically, paranoia makes you feel threaten by people all the time. You can search for paranoia if you wanna know more about the symptoms and causes. So, he experienced paranoia before but when he released this song, he said that he already overcome and recovered from it. so my theory is that in the end you see how he is holding his neck and there’s blood but when he takes off his hand there is no wound which could mean he killed the demon bc in the end the demon was gone. thus could also mean the demon was himself bc in the last couple dancing frames his eyes were red like the demons before. so basically he is fighting against himself while we just watch. idk don’t take this seriously.
