Hey Gareth do you have an airtable tutorial on creating a reservation system for something like hardware or maybe hotel rooms? Where guests can't book if it's no longer available? And where the host has an overview of what is still available and when.

Is it possible to feed or filter like-tasks into a dashboard list w/a date countdown? I am trying to track the start dates of numerous projects over multiple years in the future. Basically, I want to be warned of projects that need to start when their end dates are several years out.

When you say dashboard do you mean build an interface? If so, you can see records with dates, and you can also include a formula that counts down the remaining days. You can definitely build filters that then include certain records, or exclude them, based on your preferences

Hi Lore - what rectangles do you mean? Are you referring to the picture in picture when my camera shrinks down my talking head into the corner of the video? This is all done in editing, we use Camtasia. I also have a specific place that I put the small picture with a border on all sides so it isn't exactly in the bottom corner, but up and out just a bit.

How can i link the end date in the gantt to be the end date that is wrote down on an another artable. I want, for example, my end date on the gantt to be the date when the last pack or item is received by my company, date that is written down by hand in an other artable.

The short answer here is that you can probably automate that date to be reflected in your Gantt end date after it's filled out in the other table. That's probably easier said than done. The long answer is that your specific set-up will dictate how difficult it is to create an automation like this.

@@GarethPronovost i thought about syncin the artable 1 ( where the date is) to the artable 2 (where the gantt is), and then sync the dates on the artable 2 to the gantt of the artable 2, so when the date changes on the Artable 1 it does on the 2 and on the gantt too. Is it possible ?

Hey, thanks for the great video content! Just a tip from a potential customer: Don't recommend offering free content (eg crash course) and then after you have the potential customer's email, you tell them they will get the lead magnet HOURS after they requested it. Especially when the delivery of that lead magnet is most likely automated and can easily be delivered within minutes of them signing up. When someone is watching your videos on KZfaq it is because they have a problem to be solved now, not in "an hour or two" as your welcome email states. In one to two hours I will have gone to another channel for my answer and may never open your emails in the future because of the "bad faith" that was left the last time something was promised but delayed without an reasonable explanation. Keep up the great content but unfortunately I have to jump over to find my answers in other channels while I wait for your crash course to land. Hopefully I'll have the energy and time to watch it later. Best!
