VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Diana and her family own a small home in Oakland, CA. They had a garage that was nearly about to fall over in their backyard, so they decided to make a better use of the space. Since they have a small home, they figured that if they built something, it could have multiple uses. They use it as an Airbnb and as a guest house when friends and family come to visit. The most impressive part is that it has already paid for itself in 4 years, which means now everything they make is profit. They plan to continue to use it as an Airbnb while they're children are young and then allow their kids to use it as a homework/hangout space when they get a little older. It's so amazing how many functions one tiny space can have for a family and what an incredible way to create multiple streams of income for themselves.

Yes, we have a 35-ft RV we're thinking of renting out in our backyard. Water and sewer is hooked up. Next is electrical. Then working out the bugs. Hot water heater, servicing the stove... All those little things that add up. 💜🌞🌵😷

We are investigating building the rough-in for an ADU and getting all the plumbing and electrical signed off; then using the space as a workshop until we need the living space for parents or ourselves down the road. Basically making sure we are grandfathered into having an ADU on the property.

You've thought about almost everything. I love the adult coloring books! Jigsaw puzzles are fun too! Your guests probably won't be there long enough to find out a piece is missing, so secondhand puzzles would work fine. I love the bedside lamps as no one likes to get up just before sleep to turn off the overhead, but what about a tiny desk lamp. Looks like that overhead might cast a shadow at night, right onto my planner. Otherwise, the place looks great and well thought out!👍 💜🌞🌵😷

Very brave to put expensive window coverings in an Airbnb. In my experience as a host, people often don’t take great care of the space. Very beautiful, though! I would live/stay there in a heartbeat.

Wow, not even finished with the video yet, but this is so nice. I happen to love black wire furniture, esp. like the table base by chair in corner. You did such a nice job. Who wouldn't like to stay there over a hotel room.

fertile_farmacy doesn’t usually close fully, so then the noise (and smell) carries out to the room and it feels like you don’t have privacy. When I travel with friends and we get a barn door, we turn on the shower to cover up the noise. Also there’s always a crack you can see through to inside.

I built a small house like this and was going to originally put a barn door but people convinced me not to. I am glad I didn't put one in. A traditional swing door really does feel more substantial in a bathroom, I now agree.

While the videos here are always of a beautiful place, the name of the channel is the only indication they're tiny. The way they're filmed it's difficult to get any real perspective.....imo.
