Great decision and job . The most important thing I tell mew parents after rasing my 6 Is to enjoy them as much as you can . It goes incredibly fast . I now have 16 grankinds and a new great grandson . Watching my kids achieve there goals . Is the Best feeling in the world ! I was 20 when both of their parent's were killed in acident.. & I got all 6 grade school and under Youngest was only one yo . I left school moved to a city I had never lived in . Worked 3 jobs, made jewelry on my lunch break To sell first on the strrets of Seattle to tourist . While 3 of the kids doing double dutch. To raise money to go for there sports eqipment and trips to competitions. I don't know how I did it all . Other than it had to be done & I was the only chance of then staying together.. I second gueesed myself after they were grown If I taught them enough, to be happy successful stable adults . until one ay My middle daughter . Called me and said .Uncle That was My name Nobody callled me by my real name for so long I stoped responding to my real one . Even the schools called me Uncle . Anyway She said Uncle I just want to thank you for Teaching Me to be a Mother I use your parenting skills every day . That made everything I had gone through worth every min . Of struggle worth it . I hear myself in all them. When they are talking to there children all the time. I gave up my youth and would do it all again . I do have to say somtimes after being with . My grandkids Im the one that needs a time out 😅 but i love it !
