I wrote your directions, watched the video again at least three times to make sure I hadn't bonked or omitted anything. And then and only then did I think, "Okay, I'm ready. I'm going in." Not only did I get it to work the first time, but your instructions were clearer than those that came with the remote. Might have had something to do with the 0.01 font they were in. Needed my reading glasses AND the Zoom Lens on my biggest magnifying glass to even see that they were written in English. Please understand. If there were such a thing as the Klutz Olympics, my basement would look like Fort Knox. And Michael Phelps would just be the guy who shines my shoes. As far as doing such tasks goes, my being labeled "All Thumbs In Splints" would not be much of an exaggeration. But you got me there! Thank you VERY Much, Sir! GREATLY Appreciated! All Best!

Tamica James Easy! The learn button on your garage door opener, press and HOLD it until the LED goes out. That clears the memory in the unit. Then reprogram your remotes/keypad/ car, again.

EXCELLENT VIDEO! Thank you so much for the simple, easy instructions! I actually had a hard time getting the programming to work, so I had to combine your video with another one, but I finally got it. I did pick up a couple of tips that helped me, so I hope you don’t mind if I respectfully share, just in case anyone has the trouble I had... If you’re using the overhead door opener, rather than a wall mounted pad w/a program button, make sure that you have a working light bulb in it. When the opener has been successfully programmed, not only with the unit click, but the light will flash to inform you that it has been programmed. My hearing sucks, so this was important for me. The only other thing is, I’m not sure why you clicked the button on the remote 8 times, however, I wouldn’t be surprised if you explained it and I just wasn’t paying close enough attention. But each time I tried clicking the button 8 times, it didn’t work. I only had to click it 4 times. When I did that, the unit clicked & the lightbulb flashed on and off. Then I was able to open the garage door and close it using the remote. I never would have gotten through this without your help, lol. I’m in Arizona, where standing on a ladder in your garage, no matter what time of day it is, or what season it is, is like asking for heatstroke to push you off the ladder & kill you....add 15 minutes watching 8 videos that sucked before getting to yours, and I was nearly a goner!

You Rock! Those instructions suck for Chamberlain Universal remote. Took 4 clicks. Nothing in those instructions to show this. My Craftsmen is from 1997 and still working. I thought it was too old for a new remote. Thank You!

Dude, I've programmed mine before but my garage door started acting up. This definitely helped knowing that I wasnt going crazy and trying to reprogram it wrong. My sensor had a loose wire which wouldn't allow it to go down. Thanks for the video and making it simple

Thanks for the video. I have a Genie and my universal remote was the same as yours. My instructions covered about 6 models so the images of course didn't match my Genie. But with your video and a chart that Genie is 6 clicks I had it programed in 30 seconds. Your video helped as I'm visual.
