I love to see that a teenager appreciates gardening! At your age I was weeding for my mom and realized how relaxing and gratifying it was and was quickly hooked! I've been gardening ever since and I'm nearly 77 now! You couldn't find a finer hobby! Keep watching Laura for inspiration and knowledge. Of course, she'll cause you to want to keep adding to your garden but that's half the fun!

Since we all have thought that, I am not sure their little town could handle all of us Andrews/Garden Answer fans, lol. We would be so silly. Do you remember me? “Be You, RO and GInC”. “Oh, i love watching your channel.” Can you imagine Laura’s face? Yeah, I feel like I know her, been watching since Benjamin was a baby. However, she has never met me. Lol. I think we would be embarrassed. Certainly have to go to Idaho and Montana, it would be nice to stop in and see Monica, Mom or Dad and of course buy lots of seeds, plants and pots. During Christmas, we could buy an ornament. I wonder how many GA subs stop in there every month?

Love the tour of the garden center. There’s nothing this nice near me. What a wonderful place. The displays are so nice. Your mom’s placement of antiques here and there make it so pleasant….less retail like….more comfortable and friendly. Thank you so much for sharing this and giving us so much useful information. A little peep of Benjamin is always a bonus (and you managed just a slight glimpse of camera shy dad….love it). You always bring a smile to my face. Your videos are a gift to those of us who follow you daily….a little present everyday from Laura (and family). Thank you for being a bright light in a pretty dreary world at this point. in 1974 I had the most beautiful houseplants. When we moved here 6 years later I quickly discovered that not all houses are created equal. Laura feeds my need to grow.

My house plants give me so much joy and keep me sane specially during the long winter months in the UK. When most things are either dead or dormant in the garden, taking care of my plants, watering and cleaning leaves whilst listening to some music and sipping on hot tea brings me so much peace. I have a fairly large collection and it was so nice to see some of my favourites featured in this video. Thanks for sharing Laura!

Can I just say how much I appreciate your candor regarding struggling with house plants. I do so well with pots outside but give me an indoor plant and I feel like I make new ways to kill them. We did and I bought my first unique stone urn container and several rose rimmed pots along with several other items. What fun today getting to see it all over again and relive the excitement I felt being there in person! Laura, your touch throughout the town is so evident. Even at our RV camp in Caldwell, I swear they follow you. Every campsite had a huge supertunia bubblegum hanging basket! It was gorgeous. It was like being in Laura land. Lovely tour! I always enjoy seeing your parent’s store. I cannot tell you how validating it was when you pointed to the Maidenhair ferns and said, “A plant looking for a reason to die”. I adore the look of these ferns and have tried to grow them over and over. They die every time. In fact, I became convinced I couldn’t grow plants or garden at all and gave up. I felt each loss was reinforcement that I just didn’t “have the knack”. Then I found your channel. I watched and watched and gained confidence. You also battle bugs. Sometimes your plants don’t like where they are. When you validated us with your philosophy that one dead plant is just a small bump in the road, I was encouraged. Throw it out and keep going. Thank you for the reality, the education, and the encouragement. You are growing a community of people who are unafraid of failure and soaking up the joys of plants. I wish you could see my yard now. What a difference!

I currently live in an apartment so I always watch your videos and DREAM of one day owning a home where I can do outdoor gardening. For now, I love keeping indoor plants, so I'm really excited to see some houseplant-focused content! I would love to see repotting videos and maybe even see the plants that are struggling. It's so helpful to be reminded that other people have plants that are struggling (or dead. R.I.P.).

Hi Laura! I was so excited to see you were doing a house plant tour of your folks Garden Center!! I am in awe on how healthy and gorgeous all of the plants look. Never have I seen any house plants come close to being so perfect in any of our local stores. I have many of these plants and wanted to thank you for giving tips on the watering and lighting that some of the plants need. I have issues with some of mine. So now I know how to correct the problem! Loving the way your mom has displayed all of these beautiful plants!!

Always love seeing the garden center. Laura always has a very pleasant voice to listen to, yet another reason I prefer to hear her instead of YT filler music. However, in this video I keep trying to turn up the volume on my tablet because I can barely hear her, but it's already at the highest level.

I love trips to Andrews with you! ! I really started filling my house with houseplants early last winter when we said goodbye to a treasured pet. I guess I needed to nurture and love something. Well, it took on a life of its own as I kept buying new plants. Lol, husband said it was looking like a jungle! 🌿🍃 I love learning from you the different plants and then going to our local nursery ( Gardners Supply) And searching out the different varieties. Very helpful!

Great assortment of house plants at the garden center. Just a little bit about Fatsia. Fatsia Japonica Spider's Web is a wonderful tropical looking evergreen hardy plant that can be grown outside in part to full shade in zone 7-9 areas. I have 4 outside in zone 7 covered in snow right now in Washougal, Washington and it is 26 degrees. Snow acts as an insulator to some degree but if it gets closer to 20 I will throw a tarp over them to be safe. I started mine from gallon pots/plants to get them a good start outside. They have fun interesting looking white ball like blooms in late autumn which stand out in the winter garden. Really enjoy this plant.
