Little late - but congratulations first on your engagement and then on your wedding. I'm slowly going back and watching all of the previous videos and your mothers as well. Love me some country. As a side note - a bit of surprise in this video. I'm from Texas but I know that area very well. My daughter was stationed just down Hwy 17 in Georgetown for two years when she was in the Coast Guard. And we now have a training site there for the Murrells Inlet Garden City Fire Department. We teach the PWC Surf Rescue classes right there where you parked to go to the beach. Small World.

I have to ask if Katie found any cool rocks when she was hunting for shells. Corie sure did. 😉

There are some the size of your fist and bigger! Back in December we went and visited our son, and brought back many shells, including a large starfish and sand dollars. I believe that seeing and meeting with the pastor and his family was arranged by God long before it actually happened. Those who know Jesus Christ as Lord can testify of how God works these things in their lives and families. Hallelujah and all praise to the Lord for the great things He does and will do, In the lives of His people!

The seashells you found in the opening minutes of the video were not only interesting, but some of them were amazingly colorful. Good job, shell hunters. Of course I had to stop and read the interesting stories of Goat Island and The Legend of Drunken Jack, unintentionally left behind by Edward Teach and his pirate crew, before continuing on and hearing Katie tell the stories. Although I enjoyed the entire video, the strolling minstrel segment is my favorite. No surprise there. Good luck with snow globe number three, Corie. Thanks, big time, for including the bloopers. They're always good! One thing I hoped to see, but wasn't included, is the U-Haul truck you rented to carry all of your gear, equipment, and supplies from Brasstown to the beach. Best guess, it's at least a 24-footer. ;^)

I love to think of the tenacity of the little creatures that made the holes in the stones, each one different. I imagine Katie would enjoy them since she is a rock girl like me :)

The best part that brought a memory of my mother was when you said that you were going to do something to them but you didn't know what was but when you know what your going to do you tell them and put a hurt on them... Drunken Jacks was one of our favorite restaurants on our yearly visit to the Myrtle Beach area. Nothing like the Grand Strand area of South Carolina. Murrells Inlet is so beautiful.

The best time to collect shells on the beach is after a storm, especially a winter storm. At other times collectors pick up all the good shells.

Garden City and Merrills Inlet have been the only place my famiiy goes for 35+ years. If you have a little time on your hands next beach trip, go to Huntington State Park. Lots of sea life and alligators. Congrats Corie on your engagement

Our youth group from belvue Christian church innkingsport,in kingsport, use to go down for a week and stay in cherry Grove by the pier in North myrtle beach during the 1970's. My parents have been going to Maritime Beach club for 3 weeks every June to stay at their time share located in north myrtle beach over the past 15 years. Nice quiet part of beach.
