Garden Transformation Step 1 - Bellway Weston New Build 🏡🌻 - Vlog 23
We have recently moved into our new build home in the UK and today we discuss our bellway weston new build - what the garden was like when we moved in ---- SPOLIER very swampy. What you can expect from a new build if you opt for turf or no turf. What we did to the garden to get it looking like it should've and what we plan on doing next in step 2 / 3 and so on.
Also in this video we will show on a time lapse how we changed and improved the existing soil to better deal with rain and drainage etc.
Its going to be a long journey of transforming our new build garden and we plan on doing it all ourselves, I hope you'll be with is for the full journey. If you are strap in it will definitely be bumpy haha!!!

It's nice to see you both back! This is a very interesting vlog, our new build house was a very similar situation to your garden. We just had ours fixed this week as our turf was laid on top of clay, rocks ect.. It was very uneven and had dips unsafe as our garden is on a couple of levels due to living on hills. You have done an amazing job!! Your plans sound lovely 😊

Hey Charlotte, thank you very much. We’ve had so much on our plate with work it was hard to find time to film anything 😩. Oh jeez sounds like you had a bit of a nightmare. The clay I found the worst. I bet it looks awesome and safe now then 😆😆. Thank you some hard work but worth it. Yeah looking forward to the next few months should be very interesting. 🥰

@@DevoVlogs Hey, it's a lot to take on new house and getting it to how you want it and with work. We're the same as you guys getting our house to how we want it getting some snags done and with work. I totally understand how you both feel felt with your garden! It's such a shame they do this with new builds. Yes the clay is the worst! It's horrible and the big stones are crazy. Your hard work will pay off and you can enjoy your garden and look at it every time and be very proud of it. I can't wait to see your garden being renovated. Have a lovely evening both of you 🥰

You’re absolutely right. It is hard but definitely worth it. We’re looking forward to the time where we can chill in the garden and joke about what it used to look like 😂 100% got to get it how you want it. We have a snag being sorted tomorrow (towel rail being moved). We’re in the same boat by the sounds of it 😂😂 oh yessy same here the more interesting stuff is to come for sure. @@DevoVlogs it'll definitely be worth it, it's good that you are being positive about it. I'm sure it won't be to long until you are both sitting in your lovely garden and enjoying it. Houses are high maintenance 🤣 we still have a lot to do but it takes time and get it right. On no, at least your snags are getting sorted. We've had a few snags not to many, the main one was the garden of course 🤣 it does sound like we're in the same boat. It's good to hear people's experiences and very interesting. Have a great week. 🥰

Oh yes shan’t be long before the wife has a G&T outside and I have an orange juice or something 😂 Definitely provided it’s done right doesn’t matter how long it takes. Same here tbh pretty much no major snags so far anyway. Agreed we’ve loved reading peoples journey and experience and replying to comments. You to enjoy, have fun 🥰

great video & your garden is going to look great plus your saving loads doing it yourself & picking up many new skills. I also think your garden is typical of new builds as ive had friends deal with the same issue

Hey Tara thanks very much. We’re going to try anyway and make it look good 😂 yeah you’re right. The mrs said she’s been sent quite a lot of pictures of similar new build garden’s. Pity they don’t sort it for you before you move in. 👍👍

Hey guys, looking good. What’s your garden size if you don’t mind me asking as your layout is very similar to ours. Our new build is going to be 10x7m but finding it hard to plan without seeing it in person and getting a real sense of the space. Enjoying the journey hope to see more.

Thanks Rhys means a lot. If I’m being honest I’m not sure how big it is. At its widest point it’s approx 9metres but not sure about length sorry. I’ll have to measure it up at some point 😂😂

Hot tub probably towards the end of the year. (Final thing on the list) Don’t worry it’s on order. Along with the bed for the landing. 😂😂

Hey hey thanks I hope you’re doing well. Yeah been a nightmare, we would’ve filmed and uploaded step 2 already but we miss calculated how much patio we would need and we only have a third of how much we actually need. Now the patio is out of stock until further notice. I’ll put a community post up with a picture of the garden for a little update soon 😩 sorry again been super frustrating for us so can only imagine if you’ve been waiting as well. We filmed a snagging video for our next upload whilst we wait for more materials. 👍👍

Hey hey. Sorry for late reply can’t thank you and everyone enough for your patience. Work has been super busy for both the wife and I since mid May working 12+ hours a day by the time we get home have food. Generally I’m spent 😆😆 But good news the patio is now back in stock and we ordered a truck load. We have ran out of type 1 sub base so need to order some more of this. Also more slab layer haha 😂 there is a new video going up in a few days once I’ve made the thumbnail tonight but it’s about snagging whilst we wait for the extra materials x

Hey Sean hope you’re well. Not the best tbh. Since mid may the wife and I have been slammed in work 12+ hour days. We miss calculated and didn’t order enough patio and then it was sold out. We’ve ran out of type one and slab layer so need more of that as well. So yeah step 2 is a nightmare of our own doing 😂😂. The inside is getting there bit by bit. A video is on the way this weekend after I finish the thumbnail tonight about our snagging findings. 👍👍 thanks mate

Yes and no. Good news is the patio is now on its way took ages for them to dispatch it. And we’ve made a start on step 3 as well. But we want to paint the fence and need to do that before we lay patio so that’s my job today haha 😂

Hey buddy been out the country for a week or so. The next video will go up a few days after we’re back. Just a heads up….The next step of the garden isn’t complete so that video will probably be after Christmas.
