Unbox and Review of Garden Treasures outdoor Pergola with Canopy (11 x 11) purchased at Lowes.
Over the Memorial Day Weekend we purchased and set up this Pergola for use on our patio. Overall easy setup but a bit time consuming.
Be aware that some of the pergola pieces are inside the posts, so when you get it open, check the posts as there are some B1-B2 pieces, etc. inside those.

great vid. was JUST looking buying one of these for my patio (I may need to measure lol... Now that you've had it together for a few years, does it still work for you/your family? Looks like it's heavy enough to stay put without having to bolt it into the ground....

Isela's world I seen it too. I believe the Home Depot version is slightly smaller 8 feet x 8 feet then the Lowe’s version at 9 feet x 9 feet both version very nice though

Could you help me out with a question. The advertised dimensions are 11'2" x 11'2". Is that the dimensions of the foot print, or the total width of the top where the pieces hang over?

sgouin from what i have been told. 10' x 10' is the outside measurement of the legs, but then the pieces that hang over the top , go beyond that. About 1' each side.

My husband and I are looking at getting a pergola similar to this vs a gazebo from Lowe’s. We noticed the canvas is somewhat translucent, as this one is, vs the solid canvases of the gazebos. How do you feel like it shades? We really like the size and height of the pergola, but are slightly worried it won’t provide much shade in the hot summers.

Carmen Dobroth we have used it only one summer and it was actually better shade than we thought, but we live in the PNW where it doesn’t really get that hot. Thanks for watching.

Brodie B holding up just fine - we had a lot of snow this winter and just took the cover off so the weight of the snow wouldn’t break it - it’s back on now and looks just fine. Thanks for watching!

comes with anchor stakes. I believe they go on the inside of each corner post. I am still putting mine together and have not made it this far.

C M up here we get a lot of rain but I took the top off for the winter because it did snow a couple of times and I didn’t want it to sag and break, but it’s been rained on plenty -it’s back on now and still doing great-thanks for watching!

just bought one i got a great deal on due to an online purchase error...$325!!!! saw a lot of reviews about rust from rain, dripping everywhere. I am thinking it comes from the screws. I am planning on sealing every screw and crack with rubberized sealer to prevent this from happening. How has it been for you, any rust issues??

Could you tell me the measurement from outside corner to corner? I am going to concrete in 4 x 4 posts and put the pergola post over them and start from there. What do you think (since you have already built one), would that work?

Yes it works great, but I put posts in just two legs because my concrete pad was longer than I was thinking so I am going to rig a steel plat for the other two and fasten them with concrete anchors. I wish it would have had all four legs on the ground because the posts really make it solid. You can add 1x4s to two sides of the 4x4s make them fit tighter, works great.

That pergola looks very nice. I have 2 question, did you had to buy the lights separate? and the other question how did you anchor the pergola? did you screw it down to the cement?

Javier Andon great video. May I add to invest in a few cans of rustolium flat black paint and give it a couple of extra protective coats. Also get a spray can of rubber sealant and double seal the capped bolts and welded joints. This exposed areas are vulnerable to rust.

we paid 150.00 for it at Aldi. It is time consuming but very easy to follow the instructions.

I've got it from Aldi a few weeks ago, my problem is the rain...how do you deal with it? If the canopy is extended big water sockets, and dripping everywhere....

They are not v good. Got one and it got destroyed during a thunderstorm. I built my own using lumber from home Depot for under 400 dollars and it's doing v v well.

Where is the step by step assembly process from box to completion. Just to talk about how you assembled it isn't hands on how to follow instruction. I'm not impressed. JS
